Lived there for a couple of years... it’s a lot different from Phoenix. The people, the vibe. They don’t cotten to outsiders as easily as Phoenix
Boys and girls I’m officially in the desert. Arrived last night. The job ended up pushing my start date back to then end of this month but I’m finally here!
Didn’t realize you were moving to AZ. A buddy of mine used to work in a desert mining camp way out in the middle of nowhere in Arizona. He said the pay was good, but it was lonely as hell. Finally he went to the foreman and told him he had to quit because “there were no women for 75 miles”. The foreman said he understood and advised him to go stick his pecker in the 3rd barrel outside the general store at midnight. He did and the next day my buddy - happy for the first time since he got there - told the foreman it was wonderful and he’s going to do that every night.
“Every night except Tuesday”, said his foreman.
“Why not Tuesday?”, said my buddy.
“Cause that’s your night in the barrel”, said the foreman.
