the next event of interest is Senior Nationals. It takes place on 12/15-12/17, in Fort Worth, TX.

The top 5 finishers at each weight class qualify for the 2024 Olympic Team Trials.

A number of PSU wrestlers have missed recent duals in part due to getting ready for this event.

yeah, that's cutting some weight. I checked last season's PSU - Iowa dual (Jan., 2023) and Byers indicated that Cassioppi weighed in at 247.8 lbs. that day.

97 Kg = 213.85 lbs.

Cassioppi at 97kg just seems crazy to me.

It brings back memories when Ira Lubert couldn't beat Dave Joyner in the room, the matches were always close.
Ira's last year he sucked down to 190, he wanted the strength of a 265 pounder and the quickness of a 190, instead he had the strength of a 190 and quickness of a hwt. The cut didn't work out for Ira.

I do hear that Cass is doing well though.
