We could bring in a grad transfer who only has one year of eligibility.
Of course but shedding a tear over their nine months on the banks doesn’t have the emotional grip it used to. All about mercs for hire now.
Senior Night is yet another negative, albeit smaller, consequence of all the portal nonsense. Used to be a great event to say goodbye to your 4 year guys. Now, not so much.
Eh.
There's a lot of people pretty excited that guys are leaving so we can bring in "upgrades".
Didn't seen many posts in the Simpson thread lamenting we won't get to have a Senior Night with him.
People were pretty excited we got to move off Jalen Miller and Dean Reiber last off season.
The extreme transfer situation go both ways (whether fans and coaches want to admit it).
Almost everyone on this board wanted a clean house and now that it is here everyone is freaking out.
Those fans that are freaking out are concerned that Rutgers might not be bringing in better players than those that are leaving.
And there is that distinct possibility. If Rutgers does not take advantage with these players and I’m not just saying just “make the tournament “ it will mean it likely would hinder us from having similar type athletes come here in the future.The only way to do this is for us to make a deep run and only IF we have the season we hope for.
2024-25 Rutgers will truly be the diaper dandies.If my calculations are right, we won’t need one next year.
