Great stuff is happening. Real leadership finally!
When it happens, will be great .
Leadership reportedly is better then previous one, but proof in the taste of the pudding made not just saying the ingredients are the best.
Hope Keli has the right stuff and proves you're right.
But for now I'll just say it looks like Zinn has what it takes, but she still needs to prove she can do the job like we think she can..

It’s going to take a lot of money to get rid of Schiano and bring in someone who is any good.

That's why we mist be patient with Zinn, but not claim she's getting it done until it gets done.
If Keli gets the buyout money that the first step, and a big one, to proving she has what it takes to help make Rutgers FB into a program we can be proud of.
I will wait till the football season is over before passing judgement, it will take time to make the Football program one to be proud of, that take money and getting the type of donations needed to buy Schiano out won;t be easy

Zinn came in with the FB,MBB &WBB looking sad.
Right now who she hired to run the WBB program looks like a good hire.
Steve Pikiell ($16 mil buyout after the 2026-27 is over ) has had 3 straight losing seasons and Keli might have to address his tenure as well as Schiano's position and paying both off can't be expected.

So patience is needed and the best way have an idea on how good Zinn will be is not expecting her to fire Schianp or Pikiel as soon as their seasons are over , if they are losing seasons, but look at how the WBB program preforms.
Not expecting a winning season, but the way the team shows hope for the future, under the HC she hired, from being a disaster zone under the previous HC

Rutgers isn't LSU or Texas A/M where the boosters will dig deep and are pay large sums to buy out HCs they want gone.
Getting RU boosters to fund buying out either Greg or Pike after their seasons are complete will be like squeezing blood from a stone .
So Zinn will need more then this year to prove she can be a AD to be proud of

I’ve said it in smaller groups and to a couple people on this board in dm’s. Maybe it’s my cynicism. But I began to think that Hobbs gifted the extension to Schiano, knowing that he wasn’t long for the job. And as a parting gift to the people that forced his hand into hiring him. You wanted him now you’re stuck with him. Good luck!! I’m going to do some yoga with the volleyball team.

Good post. Rutgers isn’t a plug and play job. She needs 5 years to get a full picture of what she’s capable of. The first order of business is raising capital. Shes doing well there. Next will be raising enough to get rid of ill performing coaches with huge buyouts by Rutgers standards. I know she had a plan. Unfortunately for her, that timeline got sped up considerably after Umass. Rutgers has to the hardest P2 job ever wi to what she stepped in to. Good news for her is she has complete buy in from the President. That support will be needed.
