Watched the game on my phone so I didn't have best view but what I think I saw on several possessions was that when Corey was getting ready to drive to the hoop; there was no high pick set for him so he had to dribble around everyone. Was this accurate from those who were there?

I feel like if he gets one successful high pick and he's driving to the hoop, another player has to leave his guy and everything opens up.

I know the middle pick and roll is largely a NBA thing but you would think Corey and Freeman could work that nicely.

I am a big believer in getting in to offensive sets and running them properly can make up for a lack of talent. I am a even bigger believer that you can't win in college basketball with guards that can't make and take 3s.

I said in another post I'd love to see on the floor in the middle of a half.......Baker Williams Thiam Eugene Sa (or insert your favorite center)

The bigger problem is that Corey tend to drive right when we have a big guy situated on the right block. Corey will get a step or two on his defender, but the Big defender will be able to hedge his drive without even having to leave the Rutgers big he’s guarding. It leaves Corey out of control against two defenders with no outlet pass, resulting in a frantic floater.

I️ think both Corey and Geo would benefit greatly from the high pick as it’s one less player to converge on him. He shouldn’t have to dribble into a crowd and hope his floater goes in or he gets fouled. I️ just don’t see any way to get spacing considering we lack a post up offense right now. Set the pick and roll and let Corey or Geo determine what to do with the ball. There’s many more options when the offense is in motion and I️ don’t know **** about basketball. I️ just watch other teams do it to us and pick us apart. I️ think a guy like freeman is better moving towards the hoop instead of trying to post up and take on 2 to 3 guys bigger than him. He’s very athletic so use his talent by having him cut to the hoop and look for the pass. I️ think Omuyuri would benefit from this as well as Thiam. Let Mike Williams stay along the perimeter for the kick out pass.
