Anybody watching Severance on Apple TV? Just finished and think it is freaking AMAZING - especially by the season finale. NO SPOILERS ahead here, just gonna say by the end I was on the edge of my seat. The plot is pretty fantastic in my opinion. I’m not giving anything away you don’t find out in the first few minutes by asking how many of us also feel “severed” between work life and home? While this show takes the concept to the extreme, most of us can relate. My wife will ask how my day went and I’ll often struggle to remember or share any specifics that happened that day, lol!

The acting has been top notch - especially leads Adam Scott and Britt Lower. John Tutoro is also great and Christopher Walken is pure gold - as always. Patricia Arquette is a convincing villain in the vein of a corporate Nurse Ratchet.

Even before the character’s developed and the plot unfolded, the first thing that drew me in was Ben Stiller’s (and Aoife McArdle’s) directing. Caught me by surprise in a very good way. Very stylistic, even hypnotic. Is this the same guy I remember from Meet the Parents and Something About Mary? LOL! His directing actually reminds me a lot of Kubrick dare I say - 2001: ASO and parts of The Shining. The sterile, rigid and symmetric sets and camera shots harken of late 20’s, early 30’s German Expressionist film.

I definitely HIGHLY recommend this series, even if you don’t have Apple TV. Pay the $4.99 for a month and binge this series (and can watch the Eric C. Conn series too while your at it)!

Fantastic show. My opinion (spoiler alert)*******

*************
Doubt this is a groundbreaking thought, but it seems clear to me, that Luman manipulated these people's "first" lives, to make them WANT to volunteer for the program (for instance, Adam Scott's wife not actually being dead), and the entire purpose of all of this is a manipulative psychological study, like the Stanford Experiments.

Great great show. When I watched the first season I thought it was the best current show on TV. That last episode was basically a 45 minute heart attack. Incredibly stressful the whole way through. But this season of Better Call Saul is also hitting it out of the park. Those are probably the two best shows on TV in my opinion and whichever one I watched last would probably get my pick for #1.

I love it! For All Mankind and Mosquito Coast are also really good on Apple +.

I second the recommendation.
Ted Lasso, too. It really toes the line between wholesome and too corny but always seems to come out on the right side of things. Just a fun, heartwarming show. Apple TV+ is a great service, especially for its low price.

Yes, as good as the whole season was, the last episode was an absolute triumph. I need to get back to BC Saul. I enjoyed much of the first 3-4 seasons, but haven’t stayed current.

I’m a huge Apple TV+ fan. They don’t put out many original shows that just stink. There’s a lot of good stuff on there.

I’m ready to binge this show again already! Been hyping it up to my wife so we’ll probably tear through it this holiday weekend. Gonna be a long wait for season 2!
