Not sure why my previous posts were under that odd name. SF reminded me of Merrillville, who New Pal beat in the 5A Title last year and lost to LA in a close one. But, better than that Merrillville team from last year. Similiar in that they both have big lineman who move kind of slow and then have speed at the skill positions. Merrillville kind of gave New Pal a little game, but New Pal just wore them down and cruised in the 2nd half. I wonder if SF's coaches saw a lot of stuff from that game that they liked. I heard Ralph tell the New Pal Radio crew at the half that they weren't expecting to see SF running stack 3 D's. They prepared for a different defense and only a little of stack 3 andneeded to adjust at the half.
Felt like New Pal's OL took control of the game towards the end of the 3rd quarter and Wheaton's OL started getting gassed in the 4th quarter. I wasn't paying attention enough to see if SF was subbing a lot on the DL or playing guys on both sides of the ball.
I would definately feel optimistic as a SF fan after that one.
