Great game so far. Both teams look good for week 1. SF definitely has yardage advantage but gave up a 99-yard kickoff return which has kept New Pal in the game.

SF to get the ball coming out in the second half. Wilson for SF has looked solid at QB, really nice arm and good decision maker.

Still 17-14 end of the 3rd quarter.

Wilson didn’t come out after halftime and SF offense hasn’t moved the ball since.

Great game. Lot's of game changing plays in the 2nd half. 3 that really stuck out to me.

1. New Pal with 1st and goal from the 1 and got too cute with a QB sweep that SF stuffed for a huge loss. Next play is an INT.

2. SF's QB with a very bad fumble from their own 15. Should have just taken the sack instead of trying to make a play. New Pal had him swarmed

3. 3rd and long with New Pal clinging to a 21-17 lead late in the 4th and they go over the top for a 58 yard TD pass. Seemed like SF was expecting the run.

I was impresed with him as well. SF's WR's could do some damage when he was getting them the ball in open space.

Agree with this. Although on #2 it ws one of their starting WR playing QB so the kid was in a tough spot. Can’t blame him for trying to make a play.

i do think SF has a backup QB but he was a late transfer so may be ineligible for the first two games.

Wilson looked to be walking around the sidelines so i don’t want to speculate but doesn’t seem too serious. Maybe took a shot towards the end of the 1st half because there wasn’t an obvious play where he got injured. He looked as advertised in the minutes he playe. SF needs him.

Overall i leave very optimistic about SFs prospects for the season. New Pal is a very good football team…there’s a reason theyve won 29 straight. And SF even without a QB in the second half had a chance late…

Not sure why my previous posts were under that odd name. SF reminded me of Merrillville, who New Pal beat in the 5A Title last year and lost to LA in a close one. But, better than that Merrillville team from last year. Similiar in that they both have big lineman who move kind of slow and then have speed at the skill positions. Merrillville kind of gave New Pal a little game, but New Pal just wore them down and cruised in the 2nd half. I wonder if SF's coaches saw a lot of stuff from that game that they liked. I heard Ralph tell the New Pal Radio crew at the half that they weren't expecting to see SF running stack 3 D's. They prepared for a different defense and only a little of stack 3 andneeded to adjust at the half.

Felt like New Pal's OL took control of the game towards the end of the 3rd quarter and Wheaton's OL started getting gassed in the 4th quarter. I wasn't paying attention enough to see if SF was subbing a lot on the DL or playing guys on both sides of the ball.

I would definately feel optimistic as a SF fan after that one.

Generally agree with this analysis. Just wish we could have seen Wilson in the 2nd half and how the game would have played out.
