Can not find anything valuable in this article

Basically says almost the same word for each program

Previous articles say UNC/Duke are more likely, so I do not have high hopes on him coming to Kentucky

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Just a guess and nothing more than a guess. I think he goes too UNC or Duke.

We will see if Scheyer’s strategy is viable long term. He relied on freshmen last year, had 3 lotto picks, and couldn’t get it done. Reminded me a lot of Cal teams.

he made a final four so don't act like u wouldn't trade for that

Personally I’ll take stacked rosters of McDonald’s All Americans every single year over veteran transfers. Give me every single team we had over the last 15 years with a coach like Pope. Cal just didn’t care about winning for Kentucky as much as he did his own agenda.

Give or take a different point guard here and there that is lol

And those were very good lottery picks. One could argue from an NBA draft viewpoint, that was one of the better classes in the last 25 years. I'd have to go compare it to Kentucky's and the guys who didn't leave early.. But Duke had a generational #1 pick, two more lottery picks, two 2nd round picks, and some talent coming back for this year. That's going to be right there with any of Kentucky's top classes, in terms of pre-draft evaluations for their 2024/2025 team.

He doesn't have that talent this year.

Also, this is all evidence you need that Duke is still the top NIL player. I dont care what anyone says, they are shelling out more. No one is itching to play for Scheyer at a med school with a busted HIB VISA student section... not without a pay day.

People scoffed at Duke Potentially rolling out $30mil a year 6-months ago.. but we're now hearing Kentucky's could be at $20mil.. Now compare the school's alumni and business ties.. There's just no way. If they want 5 top10 guys, they will get them. Question is, if it will ever equate to titles, and I think not.

Final Fours are great, but when you have the talent they had last year, anything short of a title is a failure. It was a failure in 2015 for UK, and for Duke last year, as well as the year they had Zion and co.

All 3 of those teams were freshmen-led, and wound up losing to more experienced rosters. I’m just saying, if winning the title is the goal, then I’m not gonna lose sleep over Pope whiffing on high school players. Now if he gets 3-4 years in and fails to win one with a stacked (and healthy) team of portal guys, then maybe I’ll reconsider my position.
