I'm asking myself why she doesn't get away from her mom. That lady is just a ***** is all you can say. It's not like she is a child or couldn't afford a hotel. Nothing but hate for her comes from her mother.

How far along is it? Usually like to wait until at least 6 episodes in so I can binge a little

I definitely think the biggest challenge is figuring out how to reveal the backstories that are desperately needed to fully understand what is going to happen. Definitely makes it feel slow. I expect it to pick up very soon.

I agree. I think next episode will finally give us the back story to what happen in the past.

Pretty good show although a little depressing. I wonder how much they had to pay Led Zeppelin for rights to so much of their catalog. The highlight of the show is definitely Amy Adams (one of the best looking red heads in Hollywood).

I started watching it solely because Amy Adams is in it.

She and Cate Blanchett are my two favorite actresses (based on talent, not looks)

I'm two episodes in and I quite like it thus far.

I've seen all 3...sort of...haven't been able to stay awake for an entire episode yet.
It is slow...I hope you're right and the pace picks up.
Agreed the Mom is a *****...told my wife last night she's the killer...then changed it to the husband. I mean who the F wears a yellow sweater tied around their neck while reading the paper at home...?

This is what will be fun to watch having read the books. I'd be shocked if someone guesses what is going on.

Every man should have something like that at home.

I hate the way the story is being presented. Too many flashbacks and way too many scenes of the visions in her head. Half a dozen times so far I've paused the program, backed up, discussed with GF to sort out WTH just happened. Can't this story be told in a linear fashion?

The casting for the younger version of her character is eerily perfect.

Her mom is a major ***** but clearly has a powerful psychological presence in the daughters’ lives. The dead sister and the way they all reacted to that—mostly in unspoken ways—seems to be a driving force for most of their behavior.

I hate the overuse of flashbacks too. My wife read the book years ago and finds the story hard to follow as presented.

I read the book. Nobody dies. Amy Adams wakes up as a child and realizes it was all a dream.

Ok, I admit it. I am dense. Can someone explain the ending?

Emma is the one that killed everyone, the two girls, and her new friend in St. Louis. The mother may be psycho but she took the fall for the two girls murder to cover up Emma's murders. After the credits role they show Emma killing all the girls. It appears Emma can't handle not getting all of the attention, similar to her mothers need to be needed.

I get that Amma did in the two girls...are we to assume she killed Marian also or that the Mom accidentally did it by carrying her Munchhausen by Proxy a little too far?

The series in general was OK, the last 2 episodes were excellent. IMO you only need to watch the first 2 & last 2, all the other episodes were s l o w.
After the credits, the director or producer even said it was a show of patience with a big reward in the end.

The mother didn't intentionally take the fall for the murders, she maintained that she didn't do it, but they got hung on her anyway because they found the pliers that Amma had used.

They pulled her teeth because that girl had been running her mouth about Amma and her friends.

Yeah, I kinda figured but my eyes are **** and I couldn’t tell for sure. Anyone that didn’t watch all the credits and the after show, needs to go back and watch. All the answers are there.
