Sheetz copied touch screen from Arby's.

Talking about the CS industry; Microsoft took GUI from Xerox. I never saw a touch screen at Arby’s but remember MTO screens in 1993. Wawa added them in 2002. Before Sheetz the CS space was a place to get cigarettes and a coffee with your gas. Maybe a hot dog. Except in Japan - you can get every damn thing there including service with a smile…

Right, everyone copies from others. I'm sure there are things Sheetz copied from Wawa.

I think you are taking this whole thing a little too seriously.

LOL. This is an old topic that has been discussed to death for years. Sheetz introduced MTOs and screen ordering years before Wawa did the same. They invented ‘destination’ super gas stations and bailed on stores without gas. They’re massive innovators in the CS space - Wawa not so much. Now, ignore for you.
Shorti > MTO.

My 2004 5-speed Accord is at 254k.
Like sleepy, I just use the closest -and probably cheapest - gas when it’s thirsty.
Honda and Toyotas seem to be indestructible…at least mechanically.

Interesting fact ... Florida now has more Wawa's than Pennsylvania. Making Florida with the most Wawa stores and many more in the planning phase. Demand is real with so many transplants here.

Either could have great success in the southern tier of NY- the competition here is pathetic

lol. I was at a soccer tournament last year (or year before), which took place somewhat close to a Wawa. When I departed, I went to the Wawa, and encountered a mom and her kids ordering something from the kiosk. The kids were having some trouble with the kiosk, so I just volunteered some information to assist them. The mom then joined, and in the course of our discussion it turned out that they lived in upstate NY, but that she was born and raised in SE PA. She said she loved Wawa, and every time they were in PA, they would always stop at a Wawa. She went on to say how much they would dominate in NY, if they ever expanded to that state. She did mention how bad the options were in NY. If I recall correctly (not certain I have the facts straight), she indicated that closest thing they had to a Wawa near where they lived was a Circle K, which she said was not even comparable to a Wawa.

she was pretty cute (I didn't take a pic of her or her and her kids, so can't supply such), so I think the noticing was going on more from me than toward me. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Wife is Bucks Co and my favorite thing there is ‘Street Road’.

It is a strange name. If you go way, way back in history, the route for a road that became Street Road was included in the original survey plans for William Penn for Pennsylvania. It wasn't given an official name in the survey, and many such roads from that era started out with names that spelled out the two locales/villages/towns on the respective ends of the road. In the early days of the Providence of Pennsylvania, all of the roads were dirt. As this specific route became busier, cobblestone paving was laid down on it through some of the earlier villages in Bucks County. While we currently use street as synonymous with road, in the late 1500s in England, street was reserved for important roads that had been paved. So, when portions of the road were paved in villages in the late 1600s/early 1700s, residents in the region began referring to the route as the street road (i.e., the road that was paved, at least for portions). Somehow, the name was never changed, though it is now also PA Route 132 for most of its length, and since 2005 it is also designated as the Armed Forces and Veterans Memorial Highway.

Street Road sucks. Too many traffic lights.

Agree. Way too many traffic lights on Street Road. Whenever I'm back home visiting family in Bucks County, I try to avoid Street Road.

It is a mess of a road, even though it's 5 lanes for much of its length. Zoning rules did no favors to traffic, and there are far too many lights from Bensalem to Feasterville. I really dislike the portion from the PA Turnpike to Feasterville, especially during rush hour. FWIW, the intersection of Street Road and Knights Road in Bensalem was ranked by Time magazine as the most dangerous intersection in America from 2003 through 2012.
