Do you think Burns can win if they aren’t able to rush the ball on Shelby? Shelby has been pretty good against the run so that may determine who wins this game. I think Shelby will be able to move the ball through the air, but can they valence it with the run?

Can Burns win the game absolutely. Can Burns win the game if they can’t run the ball, not in my opinion.
Burns will need a balanced attack and that is what I think we will see. The majority of the talk is about what Burns offense can or cannot do. Shelby's offense put up 9 on Lincolnton. The following week, SC put up 41 on that same team running the ball. This is a game of matchups so we will probably all be wrong on what we think could happen. This game came down to a blocked field goal at the end last year. Is Shelby better than last year? Is Burns better than last year? One more day and we can let it play out.
I just keep looking at the Lincolnton games between Shelby and Burns, How does Burns score 58 and we score 9? I know our defense did better but still can not comprehend the difference in offense. Without a doubt Burns can win.
That is what makes this so hard to even begin to predict. If you ask Lincolnton fans, it is because Mayfield was out. We rushed for 509 on them and outscored them 49-14 in the second half. Like I said, it means nothing tomorrow night. You know how it goes in these games man. Throw out everything we think we know. lol
I think Shelby’s defense is better than last year but the offense isn’t quite as good. They had a great QB last year. This year they have a good but young QB. Offensive line isn’t as good as last year either. I’d say Burns is better than last year all around. I expect a tight game.

Whoever wins this game it will be a good tuneup for the playoffs for both teams. Both teams should benefit from playing good competition. Good luck to both teams in this game and in the playoffs.
And both will have a bye next week no matter what. Both probably get 2 home playoff games also
This game will be a goodie. I think their will be lots of points in this one.
I definitely think it will be a good game. Don’t see it being as low scoring as Shelby/Lincolnton but I think points will be at a premium tonight.
Simmons has Shelby by 8. I don't think there's gonna be a ton of points scored tonight but who knows. Never know in these rivalry games. I didn't think we had a chance last year but it came down to just a blocked FG or we'd won so we'll see.

Maybe the best comeback I've ever witnessed in person. That is one resilient team to be down that much and just flat out getting whopped by the Burns defense and then things just started clicking. May I also add number 45 for Shelby is an absolute beast walking down that Burns player who picked up the ball and was in the clear running for a game winning TD after Burns blocked our field goal attempt.
Unless something changes looks like Burns is still gonna be the 4 seed in 4A West
You have to play 4 quarters and you cannot let a team like Shelby get momentum like that. That’s football.

You guys stayed the 4 and have a great bracket setup for you. That WI loss turned some things upside down.
Yeah looks like maybe Maiden in round 2, Mt Pleasant in Round 3 and if we get through those games a trip to Hibriten in Round 4, which man there's some history there and they'll be really tough but if we were lucky enough to get past them.... Then who knows maybe us and you guys in round 5. Looks like y'all will be the 7

We will be the 7 and Hibriton is now the 2 so we get them in round 3 if we both win. So I think a good team gets eliminated in round 3.

Maybe the best play I have ever seen in high school football. If 4 and 45 are not all state on defense there needs to be a investigation.
I can speak of seeing them in person against Cramer and they were both very impressive. Great players.
