In 2017 and 2018 South Point lost in 2nd round both years to Hibriten and Shelby. They literally were as good as any other 2A team those years.

South Point probably had a harder time in 2A because 2A was more familiar with dealing with that type of offense. That offense is more common and teams saw it more often than teams in 3A did. 3A teams struggled defending it more because they most likely rarely saw it.

Sp would have easily won the East last year dude. Most of the time the JV teams in the west could beat the East Varsity teams. Go on with that crap.

All trash talking aside for a minute, I’ve never looked at a team playing a bunch of young guys on varsity as a negative in high school. It stings some when you play tough teams early and lose but ROI can be huge. The young guys go through the fire with each getting varsity experience and the program benefits also from kids getting minutes on jv that would have otherwise been watching. The key is getting that young varsity team into the playoffs, bringing those jv’s up, and going into the off season knowing you have a ton of kids coming back for the following season. Any major success the first year for a young group is just gravy. Crest has a very good coach, he just need a couple of seasons to get it rolling again.
Now we know what this half and half money is for. Crest is down and trying to restock their talent pool.
I thought the same thing earlier, the timeliness of the transfer, and the position the kid plays vs a pass heavy offense tomorrow night. A cut of the half and half will be reserved for this acquisition, no doubt.

If Shelby doesn’t win this game by 3td’s there should be some real signs of worry at the lions den. Crest is young and have some talent but the whole new scheme just don’t seem to be gelling. Shelby’s offense is supposed to be lights out…it hasn’t been. The defense was supposed to be finding a couple new leaders, it hasn’t.
Your Burns Bulldogs have the best secondary in the county.. Shelby does not..Crest will get points tonight but can the Crest D step it up and put pressure on Shelby QB.

I’m not against Shelby or Crest, however I think it helps ACR if Shelby wins tonight as far as RPI rankings are concerned. So with that I got Shelby 38-28.
