That's true we have a very good team coming to our house. It has the feel of the game at Pisgah. Cold but no helicopters or bears.

I wondered how Monroe would be after losing QB Zeph Wall to a knee injury this year. It seems like the new QB has done a nice job. Coach Sowell was recently named the coach of the year at the Charlotte area sports award banquet. I don't see if how does it Coaching both football and boys basketball in high school.

Shelby has lots of weapons on offense and defense. Coach Ware keeps reloading that QB position each season and it looks like they put up bigger numbers each year.

Great matchup involving the 2 defending champs. Best of luck to both teams!

Oh yeah, no doubt. I realize I'm outdated, but I just enjoyed the QB under center, fullback up the middle style of football more. This new style is obviously working, just a personal preference.

I have transitioned. I like this style better. Don't have to worry about finding 3 good RBs anymore. As long as we have a good QB it will work. We have been blessed to have 3 straight. May be more of a challenge next year though, loosing 7 starters on O!

We definitely have a more potent offense nowadays, just not the football I grew up with. And that goes for every level, the game has just changed. I still love watching them. That video of Parks just got me reminiscing.

I think the offense should be OK again next year. We'll have Surratt and Brooks back. Probably will fall back some, but should be pretty stable.fall back

Certainly wish both teams a more interesting and competitive game then this thread represented. Sheesh - got bored after the first page and had to turn on a PBS Bob Ross painting demo to get my blood pressure back to a normal level.

No joking - here's to a safe and memorable game for all parties involved that results in the enrichment of every player on the field.

Cheers!

Game day fellows.Get your toasty toe's ready.Shelby goes for their fourth straight Western Championship.Good Luck Golden Lions.
It's nice of you to be concerned about your brethren while your sitting in the warm comfiness of Pearly Allen eating chicken fingers and deciding what music to play.
