Sheldon going from kissing for the first time to one week later having sex for the first time seems like quite the unrealistic leap in character development to me.

It's not surprising that the nerd has sex (with a woman), just surprising an obviously gay nerd has sex (with a woman).

Gotta love :rolleyes: these pretentious people who believe because a show is scripted or has a laugh track added that it is not funny or entertaining. Does network tv have more fails than wins? Yes. I imagine funkycat is simply really offended by BBT because it makes fun of people like him. And he obviously had lots of time to put many posts in this thread while he stood in line for hours with the millions of other dorks in his star wars costume to see the new Star Wars movie.

There have been scripted shows and shows with laugh tracks that are funny.

Anything Chuck Lorre creates...scripted, not scripted, laugh track, no laugh track...should be treated as the unholy **** that it is.

If you enjoy Chuck Lorre's shows...you're helping to destroy this great country and you should be treated as the disgusting filth that you support.

The thing I hate about the big bang is not the laugh tracks but how frequently they use the laugh tracks. Once I noticed how often they used the laugh tracks, It could not be unheard.

Plus the whole bazinga thing in the ball pit was one of the stupidest thing I have ever seen. In fact, the entire show is just dorky one liners that lack any sort of zing.

Would not recommend to a friend

All shows record the audience's laughter during taping, but in the editing process they use that recorded laughter to build the laugh track. It's called sweetening.

Jim Parsons (Sheldon) is openly gay. While he is a good comedic actor, he doesn't pull off being straight in BBT. There are many gay actors who pull it off well but Parsons is just painful to watch in romantic scenes.

Yeah, but when Parsons took the job Sheldon wasn't really defined as straight or gay. The character was practically asexual. There wasn't any need for him to "play straight" and him doing so now would be a weird change for Sheldon.

As far as network sitcoms go, it's pretty solid. Way better than 2 and a Half Men ever was. That show was awful.

And I don't particularly mind that Kaley Cuoco gets hotter by the year.

Sitcoms are a thing of the past, and most are really really really bad. But never understood the hate for BBT. It's pretty well written, and being constrained by network ratings and the awful, dated sitcom formula, I think it's pretty well done.

This, but a few minor tweaks. The first few seasons of 2AaHM were awesome.. the last half of that show was horrific though.

And Kaley Cuoco w/ long hair >>>> Kaley Cuoco w/lez hair.

I had to look up Chuck Lorre because I don't follow a lot of these things, but good Gawd man. He has a list of seemingly AWFUL shows. I use the word seemingly, because I've mostly only seen the commercials for them. [sick]

Kaley Cuoco started out being marginally hot and has devolved into the form of a lesbian waitress at Applebee's.

Every time I see another commercial for that show, two things go through my mind.

1. Chuck Lorre is a demon sent by the Morning Star to ruin television

2. Can Kaley Cuoco get any less attractive

Not going to defend Chuck Lorre. I just took a look at the list of his shows, and 95% of them are crap. BBT shows even a blind squirrel can't eventually find an acorn.

And while Kaley Cuoco long hair >>>> Kaley Cuoco short hair. If you (argubs) think she is ugly, you clearly are gay.

I'll give you that the lez hair brought her down a few pigs (But still think she rocks it better than 99% of the rest).. but she was a smoke show from the late-John Ritter show all the way through BBT.
