Should have been Iowa

Nice season, but yesterday clearly proves it should have been Iowa in the playoffs.
Losing to a horrible Texas team should have eliminated OU months ago.
Lack of competitiveness in the semis will hopefully show the playoff committee that brand names and history have no business in factoring the more deserving teams next year...

I was an Iowa fan all season as I think they did extremely well. But you had your chance vs. Michigan State, blew it, and you saw what happened to them last night. I actually think Iowa vs. OU would be a great bowl matchup this year, but winning the conference says a lot to the CFP committee. You have the Rose Bowl against a great Stanford team. Go out and win and you have a tremendous season to be proud of. Just be glad you didn't face Alabama last night.

To be fair, your post would actually have more validity if it were aimed at MSU fans rather than OU. In fact, remove the mention of OU from your post and I would have thought you were talking about MSU.

If you wanna see an exhibition in "lack of competitiveness" then go watch MSU (your conference champion) get completely dismantled by Alabama. That actually gives more credibility to a thought that your conference maybe didn't deserve ANY team to get into the playoffs.

You guys lost to a Michigan State team that got blown out. Iowa always has been and always will be a second tier football program with an extremely overpaid coach

And they've yet to play/beat Stanford. If you lose that game, this post becomes even more asinine than it already is.

I hope the Cardinal expose the hacks and the b1g further. tosu is the only consistently tough team in the conference that feeds on Mac and worse teams...

IF the squawks win it will beat last night's crowing by the drunk Clem fans by a couple of thousand decibels. Please try and act like you've been there in your lifetimes if that happens as it hasn't for 99.999% of you...

Super fandom hath skewed your thought process.
As was duly pointed out, your season died when the Spartans put a dagger in your heart in the waning moments of that game. It happens.

Also, throwing the BS flag that OU got in based on its brand name and past achievements. We got in because we beat three top ten teams in Baylor, TCU and the pokes...all you all had to do was beat one top ten team and you failed, again, it happens.

I'm sure it will. So you got that going for you. BTW, how do think Iowa will do next year? That good, huh! You had a nice season, too.

tosu is gashing neutred dame at will early in Q3. The hawx struggled to beat mighty teams like pittsburgh, illinois, maryland, indiana, minnysota, and nebraksa. The domers just got to within 7 of tosu (who you rarely have to face in the pathetic b1g) so act like you've ever been there.

Don't you love *** clowns that, when their team has 1 good season in 20, they come on boards of teams who actually have a top ten legacy to talk crap?

I wonder if he would have come on the board saying "should have been Michigan State" if Iowa had won the MSU game and then got the **** kicked out of them by Alabama 38-0. Oh, yeah, we got the **** kicked out of us 38-0, but Michigan State should have played Clemson".

That's the trouble with a system that takes 7-5 & 6-6 teams to bowls every year for Participation trophies so no one has to have empty trophy cases.
tosu just extended their lead to 14 again over ND; come back here & blab after you beat them sometime.

Wow, I can't believe your saying that after watching MSU, the team that beat you, get butt raped by bama. This has to be one of the dumbest internet posts I've ever read. Oklahoma clearly deserved to be in over little ole Iowa. Could you imagine how bad you would have been embarrassed?

I hear but ignore it daily around where I live. They won't schedule UNI anymore after nearly losing to the Panthers at their place by a missed FG a few years ago.

Well, brand names like "Iowa" just don't sell. Waaaaaaaaa. That isn't the fault of the blue blood Oklahoma. Try not flopping in your CCG against your opponent next time. Maybe you would have held Alabama to one on one prison rape.

I'm guessing somebody left the gate open and OldHawkFan wandered out. Good thing these kind-hearted Sooners led you back to your pen before you got hit by a truck or a very slow moving Chevy Volt.

Ya...so far Iowa is really making a statement that they should have been in the playoffs......

This thread may turn out to be one of the all-time fails in message board history if this game keeps going this direction. Nice job OP....frickin idiot.

LMAO. What this berk did is an example of why I never, never have gone on another school's message board.
