Still in a funk 3/17 ( He took almost 1/3 of our shots but was only shooting 17%) and 6 turnovers (almost half of our total) to go with his 10 pts 10 RB and 6 assists (to be fair, almost half our total). Although he brings a lot, it seems at this point his play has as many negatives as positives

Although my initial reaction was to reduce his minutes, you can't ignore the rebounds and assists. The guy is playing hard, as he always does. I wonder whether the better move would be to leave him in but tell him he does NOT need to carry the team with scoring. Collins' post-game remarks suggest Vic has been told to shoot at will. Perhaps this is partly due to injury, but he just is not capable of carrying us with scoring--and feeling that he must bear that burden seems to lead to a lot of bad shots and turnovers. I think the way to get him out of the slump is to take the pressure off him, not to tell him to shoot himself out of it. My two cents.

If a guy is ice cold from the field (3-17), with many turnovers (6), and many questionable shots (heaving up a 24 footer with no shot clock and 22 sec left in first half - and they go down and get 2 FTs to close half), and you have to play him 38 minutes, your team might be in trouble.

He clearly is bothered by some type of nagging injury. He is a fluid shooter and hasn’t looked that way at all in the last month. You really have to give other guys at least 5 minutes of his current run.

He needs to understand what he is capable of at this stage and play smarter. Too often he is attempting to do too much. And just making some dumb decisions- bad shot selection.

Since he missed the Michigan game I believe he is shooting 10 of 54 in 5 games. Thats 18.5%. A big part of why our offense has been struggling lately. Team needs some other guys like Falzon, Taylor, and Kopp to pick up the scoring so Law doesn't feel pressure to force it. It's a bad time for Nance to have mono.

He was not very good in the couple games before the injury either. 2/8 against MSU, 4/12 vis IL and 4/13 against IA. While better than 18.5%, not by much but at least he was not taking 17 shots. Others on the team need to take the shots when they are open. Law is missing badly not just on his 3 pt shots but he was 1/9 inside the arc as well Plus the turnovers are pretty hard to watch. Seems like everyone else (other than Pardon) has gotten really tenative about taking shots. One thing for sure, at this point, hard to have him taking 1/3 of the shots.
