Although my initial reaction was to reduce his minutes, you can't ignore the rebounds and assists. The guy is playing hard, as he always does. I wonder whether the better move would be to leave him in but tell him he does NOT need to carry the team with scoring. Collins' post-game remarks suggest Vic has been told to shoot at will. Perhaps this is partly due to injury, but he just is not capable of carrying us with scoring--and feeling that he must bear that burden seems to lead to a lot of bad shots and turnovers. I think the way to get him out of the slump is to take the pressure off him, not to tell him to shoot himself out of it. My two cents.
He was not very good in the couple games before the injury either. 2/8 against MSU, 4/12 vis IL and 4/13 against IA. While better than 18.5%, not by much but at least he was not taking 17 shots. Others on the team need to take the shots when they are open. Law is missing badly not just on his 3 pt shots but he was 1/9 inside the arc as well Plus the turnovers are pretty hard to watch. Seems like everyone else (other than Pardon) has gotten really tenative about taking shots. One thing for sure, at this point, hard to have him taking 1/3 of the shots.
