Should Stoops consult with Rich Brooks for some advice on the defensive..

If Stoops can't figure it out by now, I don't think Brooks is going to help him much.
Here's a better idea - maybe Mitch can stop by a practice as one of the necessary obligatory steps an AD has to do to show support for an embattled coach.
He could consult with Col. Travis and Crockett from the Alamo(by seance) and throw in Moshe Dyan for good measure and it wouldn't help this bunch
It's not about who needs to be consulted at this point, but who needs to be fired.

I'm not sure Brooks ever had a defense that finished in the top 10 of the SEC - maybe one.
Maybe give Tubby a call,you know, ball line defense.See that line right there don't let the other team get the ball past it.Really simple stuff when you think about it.
A question I've been asking myself the past couple years about Mitch Barnhart .... Was Mitch ever an athlete at any level in HS or College and if so does anyone know what sports he might have played? Comes off as an accountant to me who's learned how to run his mouth and talk sporty... But maybe he was a player... but not a baller.... Mitch would like being labeled a baller.
It's likely his daughter's child who has a different last name. I'm not even sure if he has any sons.
You have a guy that is a former defensive coordinator in his 4th year as a head coach and we are asking if it would help if Rich Brooks could give him some advice on how to improve things on the defense? No offense my man but the logical thing to do would be to end this mess today and get rid of Stoops. Its obvious he is not the person we need leading the program but I know we will wait another year to let this thing crash and burn some more.

Yep. Picking Brooks' brain should have happened right after Stoops was hired. If he did that, it didn't help. LOL
Coach Brooks would have a hard time fixing all of the problems this defensive unit has displayed.
