Would be more excited, but afraid this program will just dig up another behind the times fossil and put them in the OC spot! Hey, maybe we'll run the single wing or the wing T offense next! Wouldn't that just excite prospective recruits!
Time will tell if it’s enough. The way I see it, he has to go at least 1-2 in his last three games and I think we can all agree that the 1 won’t be against A&MBeamer is doing this now to stave off his own termination at the end of the year.
Don't worry, 8th time is the charm.I don't know who our new OC will be. But whoever it is, he will be our 7th OC in 10 years.
Had a similar thought. I mean, obviously the overall body of work has been awful. But, he was calling plays last night that had receivers getting wide open and sellers just missed badly on a number of them. At least two for scores as you point out.But still.... Looming over this is the fact that had Sellers thrown better, we would have won the game... He had at least 2 throws that were super wide open that would have gone for touchdowns, but he didn't put it even in a catchable range. Just like last week... The receiver gave the other team 7 points, and Sellers proceeded to give them the game at the end.....
I don't know if that's exactly coaching or not....
But I did see improvement from the O line the last 2 games, so maybe coaching is more involved with those type of things than it seems...
One thing I know for 100% sure is that it's frustrating to watch happen
I agree with you but at this point I think the only thing that saves him is a W against Clemson....Beamer is doing this now to stave off his own termination at the end of the year.
I don’t think either way, they can Beamer. They will give him at least another year. Him firing th OC and OL coach, will help him deflect the criticism!!I agree with you but at this point I think the only thing that saves him is a W against Clemson....
A win against Clemson would go a long, long way, imho. (as far as the fans being somewhat soothed)
A loss to Clemson will probably be the final nail in the coffin for the Beamer experiment.
I was thinking after getting pounded for 8 games the guys head is spinning every time he takes a snap. Not knowing if he has time to throw or whether he needs to take off running. He clearly has gone backwards as the season has aged. But still.... Looming over this is the fact that had Sellers thrown better, we would have won the game... I think when he talked to Donati about firing Teasley the topic of Mike Shula came up ... so yeah, I think Shane made the decision. You think that was him?
I do not.I think when he talked to Donati about firing Teasley the topic of Mike Shula came up ... so yeah, I think Shane made the decision.
I suppose you are right, but if it is true that Donati instructed him to fire Shula then that tells me Donati has little confidence in Beamer. It also probably means he won't fire Beamer this year no matter how it turns out.I do not.
I do not.

I agree that he has little confidence in Beamer. Why keep him another year?I suppose you are right, but if it is true that Donati instructed him to fire Shula then that tells me Donati has little confidence in Beamer. It also probably means he won't fire Beamer this year no matter how it turns out.
I don't know, but if you were going to fire him why make him fire the OC? Just let the season play out and get rid of the HC in December.I agree that he has little confidence in Beamer. Why keep him another year?

He should have been left on the Miss airport tarmac begging Lame for gas money
