Turns out the Baby Faced Assassin will be playing in Valencia this season, and he caught up the the Cats today in his new hometown. John is sporting a new beard and looks almost old enough to buy a drink without getting carded! Check out the NU Twitter page for a video too.....

I really like how they have the players doing these postcard segments. I wish there were more.

The NU PR department is killing it with all their social media work on basketball. Now if they could only convince the Kremlin that football could benefit from some free publicity as well.........

NJ Cat, Football is killing it on snap chat. Kids who aren't even NU fans follow the snap chat account. Earlier this week they did a bottled water blind fold taste test . . .

NJcat is old. He doesn't know what The Snap Chat is. Of course, I'm older than NJCat, so I'm lucky even know what The Youtube is.

Do those kids buy season tickets and contribute to the athletic fund?

Did anyone notice that except for the goofy white guy smack in the middle (is that Skelly?), this picture is entirely segregated racially left vs. right, even amongst the coaching staff? Noticing it doesn't make me racist, just racially sensitive.

Geez. FWIW, Falzon is on the left in the back row. He must have missed the segregation memo.

They must have gotten the ECat wake-up call and integrated today.......

Skelly looks double the width and 3-4 inches taller than Pardon. But if you look at the shoulder height, Pardon is taller - which lends credence to all the talk about his long wingspan.

I think Pardon is leaning back against that railing which makes him look shorter. But what I notice from those two is how much wider Skelly looks. Wait until Pardon has an off-season in the NU weight room. He will be a beast!

Good point. One thing that strikes me about this staff is they are really into strength and conditioning. Pretty much everyone looks to have put on muscle in the off season. Olah is purported to have lost some mass and body fat. This is key to being successful over the 18 game Big 10 season.

It appears between picture in the OT and the one with the border someone started making fun of Skelly for a goofy smile. Now he's pouting.

Nice to see Johnny being able to hook up w/ the guys; can't believe it's already been several years since Shurna last played for the 'Cats.

Even tho Cobb just recently departed and had the extra year, doesn't seem so different as Cobb's health issues kept him on the sidelines.

Juice, Shurna and Crawford really kept the program afloat (Cobb could have joined them, but didn't play enough due to injuries).

"Kept the program afloat" is an understatement. Shurna's 4 years was the best stretch in the modern era of Northwestern basketball. His teams won 17, 20, 20 and 19 games (representing the 3 winningest seasons in school history). Shurna made the NIT every season and beat every team in the B1G during his time at Northwestern.

Amen. Shurna was a fabulous Big 10 player for NU. Who knows what his teams would have accomplished if not for his concussion and high ankle sprain.

Guys - I was being a bit facetious... (raised those points many times myself in the face of you know who...).
