What the heck was the Iowa Pre-flight in the 40’s? PSU was great in the 60’s-90’s with a drop from top ten, naturally, over the last two decades. Now they have a clear path in the 20’s to get back to top 10 status. Off to a bad start though.

Iowa Pre-flight was a Navy school for future pilots--held at the University of Iowa (there were others in the country). The Navy thought that football was good training.
