NCAA banned satellite camps effective immediately. Of course Big10 is butthurt over it. But knew it was going to happen, SEC coaches weren't happy with them and SEC flexed its muscle.

Big10 coaches are whining about it denying kids the opportunity to see their coaches and denying the opportunity. Not a kid Big10 signed would have been scrambling to find somewhere to go without the satellite camps.

The SEC didn't flex its muscles - it was voted on across the board and because 4/5 power conferences voted to ban them the measure had no chance. Power 5 conf votes count 2 and the other five conferences each count as one vote - the vote was 10-5.

It's fun to say "the SEC flexed its muscle" but that's me what happened at all. Had the Big 12 and Pac 12 voted the other way they the camps would still be here.

You know as well as anyone who got it pushed through, they weren't flocking to Oklahoma or California to have the satellite camps, they were focused in the southeast, Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

If the SEC hadn't wanted it changed it wouldn't have been brought up, of course Texas and the Pac10 went alone with it because they would have been next. But it was proposed by the SEC, most likely by Saban, and they were banned.

To say that the SEC did not flex its muscle is naive, the SEC threatened that satellites were coming to the pac12 and big 12 soon. No reason to think that Texas and California were on the short list unless something was done quickly...

Lot of talent in Texas and some years Cali has a boatload of em. You could camp in Cali in those years that has a lot of talent and any year in texas.

I don't think this helps Kentucky. I want Ohio state taking kids from from Florida and Georgia making or our enemies weaker. Leaving kids in Ohio to take and make us stronger.

SEC did indeed flex their muscles. They are Kings of college football and that conference RUNS the south. The are not going to let those yankee *** schools do any crap like that. So yes SEC was instrumental and was key in getting that dog and pony show of Harbough smashed into dust!!
