Olson: Let’s send the gift of patience out to the folks in West Virginia. The fact their athletic director felt he had to send out a statement confirming Dana Holgorsen will be back next year is, to me, pretty ridiculous. West Virginia is a tougher head coaching job than most realize. Holgorsen is building that program the right way and I like where it’s headed. Perhaps a bowl victory over Arizona State would help reduce the pressure and help people understand WVU is in good shape for the future.

Nobody seems to answer my question about the bolded area above. Does the opposite also take affect? If we lose, does that mean that the pressure should be on Holgorsen then? Or is it a situation where if he wins, all credit and glory....and if we lose, it was the players fault and he is blameless?

And before his loveboys jump in, I am hoping for a WVU victory and have never wished for a loss for any agenda. Sorry if that displeases you all.

How do you defend a loss to this ASU team? A win gives you 8 wins in a season this WVU had every chance to win 9-10 games. It gives you momentum going into off season and next season and 8 wins which consistently in the Big12 is very good. But a loss hurts WVU badly and there is no way to defend or spin that. This is a huge game for Dana.

Who is Olson?

And don't say a guy from espn. Be more specific
He is a guy from ESPN. Lol Max Olson he covers the Big 12 for ESPN. He is usely spot on with his reports and doesn't pull punches he will say you suck if the shoe fits and gives praise when it is deserved
