They have absolutely owned Iowa in basketball the last five years. Gets old losing to them.
That's what buying a roster full of top recruits and foreign giants will get you. They have absolutely owned Iowa in basketball the last five years. Gets old losing to them.
Basically the last 30.They have absolutely owned Iowa in basketball the last five years. Gets old losing to them.
BAU.Alvaro being a complete no-show was some very good fortune for Illinois.
Yeah, he didn’t get a ton of minutes, but he sure didn’t earn more with his play when he was in today.BAU.
But how much of that was his doing?........
At this point every year I am usually rooting for the team/coach I hate the leastTheir Final Four game will make for some entertaining hate watching. Go "whoever they play"!!!
All of it.BAU.
But how much of that was his doing?........
Please expand on your comment, TIAThe score was cliser than the game.
How are THEY doing that and why aren’t WE?7 of 15 illinois players not even from united states. Crazy.
Best team money can buy my God. Basicly the Serbian national team. Looked like men vs boys I knew it was a bad matchup. It wasn't Illinois, we lost to the Balkans. Their roster spend is more than double Iowa's.
I’m glad we lost by 12 or whatever the final score was and not by a last second shot or miss. I couldn’t take another UNLV, although we had a 10 point lead at some point. Still, this doesn’t hurt as bad as 1987, thank God!The score was cliser than the game.
I remember when the opposite was the case. I’m sure Illinois fans hated it too. They have absolutely owned Iowa in basketball the last five years. Gets old losing to them.
Aside from spelling, Iowa was crushed on the boards. That was the main aspectPlease expand on your comment, TIA
Well, they had a crappy football program for many years while we kicked their @SS more times than not, so we are even. They have absolutely owned Iowa in basketball the last five years. Gets old losing to them.
Check the Arizona roster...7 of 15 illinois players not even from united states. Crazy.
true but they stayed in the game until 3/4 minutes left.Aside from spelling, Iowa was crushed on the boards. That was the main aspect
I think Iowa has lost 12 of the last 13 and six straight to Illinois. And yes, it's time for that BS to end. I imagine Ben will get that taken care of next season. It'll be a great day. They have absolutely owned Iowa in basketball the last five years. Gets old losing to them.
What game are you talking about? Iowa was leading Illinois 51-50 with 7 minutes to play and trailed by 4 with 2 minutes left--and if the officials had called the offensive goal tending that even the Illinois broadcast crew on TBS recognized--it would have been a TWO-POINT GAME with 2 minutes to play. Iowa led for 63% of the game. The final score was Illinois' largest margin and failed to reflect how close this game was until the final 60 seconds. Those are facts, BTW, and you could look them up if you knew how.The score was cliser than the game.
And yet if the officials had called the game the same way on both ends, Iowa could easily have won. As it was, the Hawkeyes were only down 4 with two minutes to play.Best team money can buy my God. Basicly the Serbian national team. Looked like men vs boys I knew it was a bad matchup.
Yes but by hitting shots, not winning the boards. Several if the Hawks were bulliedtrue but they stayed in the game until 3/4 minutes left.
Get over it. Re watch the game without knowing the score. IL had more O rebounds that Iowa had total. That is a drubbing. What game are you talking about? "Crushed" is a pretty accurate description since Illinois was playing rugby and Iowa was playing basketball. How is it, do you suppose, that Iowa tied #1 Florida on the boards, the defending national champions and the leading rebounding team in the country (+15 per game)--and that includes Illinois--yet couldn't come close to that yesterday? Did Iowa suddenly forget how to box out and jump? LOLAside from spelling, Iowa was crushed on the boards. That was the main aspect
