To the players anymore it seems all about the money instead of coaching. I get it because we all want the big bucks but it's frustrating to lose top guys because they get more elsewhere.
it's been that way for a very long time....but now it's LEGAL. kids don't give a damn about the team, only the money...and honestly at this point, why should they?

We got our first player April 18 last year I think and we had a good team, I like everyone else fully expect to be even more talented this year and we will be. I guess others have doubts based on what idk but after what he did in a short time with the injuries and a scary good conference the staff have earned my trust. The freshmen class is already a step up and I feel like every position will be a step up from last year also. We are NOT going to NOT field a talented team are people really doubting that?

Dent, Gillespie, and now this guy so fellow Wildcat fans when do we need to worry?
If you do not like Pope, never will trust Pope you need to worry 24/7/365. Me, I am not going to worry until our team is built and Pope says, Man I made some mistakes this year. We are going to be awful and have no chance of winning a game.

If Pope gets his guys again this year, no matter our views on the guys, and he thinks he can get to Elite 8 or final 4 with those guys, then I am fine with it. If he has a bad 2nd year then I might question what is going on. If he picks his 5 or so portal guys and 3 are hurt most of the year again this coming year then CMP has an issue with eval of injury prone players.

I know a couple of Georgia fans. And the main takeaway from them is that if he is your second guard in terms of Pg duties you’re sitting in a very nice spot. But if he is your main PG then he struggles
He’s not a natural distributor. He’s also not a blow by guard. He’s a solid athlete, but a bigger athlete. To me, he’s a quintessential scoring two guard with a developing shot. Great defender though.

Rumor on here is only promising recruits 25 minutes a game. But honestly everything on here has been wrong so far.
If he is and it causes us not to get the tip top guys right away, I’m ok with it. He wants to beat people with depth and his focus is on retention. If you start giving false impressions of what the rotations will be, you cause not only chemistry issues but also hurt your trust in the future. Pope is playing the long game.

Recruiting and defense are two boxes he has to check to be a good fit here. He’s a good offensive coach and a very good man.

My worry about that is if Pope is telling guys that it’s going to be hard to sell that . The money will have to talk at that point and it still might be enough .

Looks like Demary wants to play for the raving idiot Hurley. From New Orleans to Georgia to Connecticut, he’s in for culture shock.

I don’t disagree with anything you posted, but on the flip side I doubt a single recruit wants to hear about a cap of 25 minutes per game. I am not worried about recruiting at this moment, but I really hope that’s not what is being said to recruits.
