We played hard. So sad that playing hard is a silver lining. That should be an every game thing.

Goes to show how bad it really is. And we still didN’t win. And they’re way younger than us so we have that going for us.

At least PSU spotted us 17 and basically gave that win.

Just what I was going to say....AM had a great game, and we still managed to lose to a mediocre Iowa team....

That's
How well would you do behind that OL. Or chasing errant snaps on every play. AD had a solid game.
His line isn't doing him a lot of favors, but when they do their job, he holds the ball way too long. Unless a guy is running free with no one in the vicinity, he has no idea where to deliver the ball. Just like last year he was looking for spielman, this year he's looking for Wandale and if that's not there the play breaks down. He's not a division one quarterback.

I would say the D-Line was the bright spot in this game. They shut Iowa's big run game down. Iowa averages 189 rpg and barely got 100 today. Iowa is very good at the jump cuts and running for 30 yards. The D-line stopped that today. Impressed me a great deal.

With that, they knew Petras isnt good passing the ball nor running it so they really didnt need a ton of pressure on him.

Whoever is im charge of teaching the DBs how to tackle is failing big time.

He played better. But you are going to have good passing stats when you generally avoid throwing any difficult passes. Swings and forward pitches pad stats. I'm not sure he will grade out very well in the film room with all the opportunities he missed.

We did a lot of the things we were afraid we couldn’t do. Physical against the run, took care of the ball for the most part, run the ball efficiently. But we still had the huge mistakes and couldn’t over come the adversity of the bad snaps and tough calls. In some ways it felt like progress, but in the end it was the same old stuff.

Michigan, Nebraska, PSU

now 3-10 in conference play this year.

It’s not just Nebraska. Tough year for blue bloods. The Huskers showed up today and gave the Hawkeyes everything they could handle. Gotta be proud of Frost and the kids.

Preach it brother. We're still a blue-blood
