Is the tide turning?Simeon got a transfer? The kid didn’t go to Philips instead?
If he's from the suburbs, how is he going to Simeon?
Wouldn't be the first time. RB from HF and MC transferred to Simeon a few years ago.A RB in South Suburbs is what i'm hearing.
I mean lets be honest, secrets out. I think we're going to see more and more CPS schools start to nab up kids from CCL teams. The teams sell themselves. Why go to a catholic school with a bunch of kids you don't know, pay thousands of dollars, wear a uniform, etc etc etc, at a catholic school when you can just come to whatever CPS school your buddies are going to and still win games and get recruited?
More and more this will start to happen.
So true. During the mid 90s Hubbard was plucking away at MC players but they could never get over the hump. I believe their best season was a semifinals appearance. That has been going on for decades. Our basketball program at MC was a feeder team for King and Julian when I was there.
The difference now is Phillips has also been getting the best players from lower level CPS teams along with the CCL schools and able to beat up on small schools like a lot of the private schools have done over the years. This would have happened much earlier if we had 8 classes and the school sizes we do in CPS now back in the 80s.
Lol that’s what I’m saying. Was puzzled to see it gone, considering it’s actually done. Why is it ok to speculate about a Simeon transfer but not talk about a Montini transfer who ENROLLED there already and taking classes.
Maybe someone from Montini reported the thread. There are a ton of transfers throughout Illinois that aren't talked about here. Why is it ok to speculate about a Simeon transfer but not talk about a Montini transfer who ENROLLED there already and taking classes.
