Simmons Ratings - Bracket Projections

I have my playoff bracket projections up now, along with all the other stuff I always do - power rankings, scoreboard, game predictions, consecutive streaks.

Due to family obligations this weekend, I will be tied up and not be very available to answer questions about the brackets this year. I will make some adjustments to them tonight once games are played. The current brackets are based on my game predictions for tonight, but some are bound to be wrong. I also need some tiebreaker info in certain conferences and am just making my best guess. This is a new system once again this year, so I hope I am doing things correctly. If you see an error, please let me know. Thanks

The biggest difference I noticed from earlier bracket projections are Clinton and SWO switching seeds. They are both #1 seeds so is Clinton the #5 over SWO because of MaxPreps rankings or something else?

Also, wouldn't James Kenan be lower than Bertie? They have a better record and a better max preps ranking.

Yes, with Clinton's win over JK AND WRH's win over ED, Clinton goes to tier of 1s, WRH to tier of 2s, and ED & JK are in tier of wild cards.....and for your SC Stallions (if I remember correctly based on screen name...I caught part of their game tonight on live stream)....I know i could be wrong but in all three of my final guesses, I have SC in the East, as a 3 seed if SW Edgecombe stays in 2AA, or a 4 seed if SW Edgecombe drops to 2A

Yes that's my school and I appreciate the hard work you've done. Could you address the James Kenan/Bertie seeds? I believe Bertie would be the higher seed with the worse record and ranking, although I'm not sure how the wild cards are seeded.

When the new rankings come out, Bertie may very well be seeded ahead of JK, since Bertie picked up an ugly 14-12 win over #77 Pasquotank tonight, while JK was taken down by #15 Clinton.....then again, the way that strength of schedule plays in, JK could stay ahead of Bertie....that's one of those uncertain things about having to wait on computer rankings.....of course in the old days (like 3 years ago) when teams were tied, we had to wait for a random draw sometimes to be posted in the prelim. brackets

It's because I expected JK to lose and Bertie to win, and so I thought Bertie would pass JK. Depends on how much MaxPreps weighs strength of schedule.
