Great God in heaven. EVERY SINGLE PLAY is either Allar running into the huddle and flipping that wrist band play sheet and screaming for about 10 to 15 seconds some God awful completely complicated play, OR running around with ZERO COMPOSURE trying to run a hurry up play that FAILS EVERY TIME usually with mass confusion and false starts or missed assignments.

Thoughts?

Agree, a relative that played at Penn state said the same thing to me today too. Said, "id think a qb with 43 snaps wouldn't need a wristband with plays and id like Allar to be looking at his teammates in the huddle than that thing"

I couldn’t agree with you more and have thought the same thing with him looking at that stupid wristband before every play; it just seems like there’s mass confusion and chaos with players constantly shifting around. Also, those plays when they rush to the line are absurd and the results are embarrassing.

Like I posted elsewhere, the game plan needs to be reduced, and they need to practice the reduced play book over and over again ala the Lombardi Packers and even the Paterno PSU teams. It’s so obvious that this offense is just a bunch of slop being thrown against the wall with no idea of what they want to accomplish.

If the offense is complicated and fools us, it has a chance of fooling the opposition. 🤔

Drew definitely seems to play better when they play with more tempo. They should have four or five calls for each of about three different formation or player groupings so that way there’s not a constant need to substitute.
I was also super pissed when they ran that long pass play. The Clifford has the receiver early in the game. That made no sense.

I agree and am surprised they haven't played more up tempo. Allar seems to think less and just let the play unfold and use his talent. Allar seems to play better when they go up tempo.

Drew also seems to play better when he gets a few runs himself. It’s like it loosens him up and he doesn’t think, he just plays. Why can’t they work in a few designed QB runs early in the game?

Texted my daughter that I wished they fix that damn flapping wrist thingy

and it does seem like a ridiculous amount of instructions for each play.

See the video I posted above of Gruden. The plays seem to be very complex at both levels.
