The recent one, not the original mess.

I accidentally came across this on Amazon Prime after finishing some other stuff. WOW how did I miss this show when it was on from 2004-2009. Oh yeah, it was on Sci-Fi largely before social media was a thing as we now know it.

Please tell me someone here has watched that show and that is in your top four all-time, because I viewed it all within about three weeks and it was one of the most amazing stories for a television show ever. Not hyperbolic there - from my take, anyway.

Also, Tricia Helfer in her absolute prime. Holy frakkin' hell she was a total smokeshow on that series.

So crazy I actually just started watching this one within the last few weeks. I am only a couple episodes in but so far I love it. With SCI-Fi doing this one and The Expanse I was actually really impressed with these two products from them.

I watched part of the series as it rolled out but don’t i did t give it enough time or credit.

Re-watching it periodically has raised it up significantly. I just wasn’t prepared for the plot complexity after the original series. Some great acting.

It is generally regarded as one of the better shows of the past couple of decades. I think it is great even if you don't like scifi but if you like scifi at all it is a crime if you haven't watched it by now.

Saw it when it was airing, I really loved the show but it has it's flaws, but even with them its very much worth watching. The first 2 seasons were amazing TV, especially the 1st season!

I thought it was something only Dwight Schrute level dorks watched and only gave it a chance because of some of the critical acclaim.

Glad I did because it was an awesome show. You have to be willing to go all in and let a few of the quirks slide (major eye roll the first couple of times I heard frack), but assuming you do it’s pretty epic and actually concludes at an extremely high level.

This was created by a Mormon and is a direct reflection of their religion. The show is awesome.

Right. And that was ok to me - I just really enjoyed the story.

Well, gotta remember the show originally ran from 2004-2009 before profanity became (more) acceptable on basic cable. Sci-Fi/SyFy had to stay accountable to its advertisers.

I still contend this show would have been GOT-level epic in terms of attention and water-cooler-talk if it has aired on HBO or Netflix. Got my dad to watch it when he was visiting AZ recently and we tore off the first season in a few days. He's about to finish it all and I look forward to what he thinks. I cannot suggest this show highly enough.

I watched it when it originally aired - it was pretty damn awesome at the time.

It starts off great and then goes.....somewhere. I gave up watching before it ended - I still have yet to see the series finale, but I watched the first season again last winter.

It’s incredible.

Maybe my favorite show ever.

Guys that got bogged down watching in real time... I think some of the metaphysical/mystical stuff comes together much nicer in a binge. There is some confusing stuff and having your attention spread out week to week made it difficult to follow.

I sold this show to my wife as West Wing meets Next Generation to take on Skynet with a touch of Top Gun thrown in.
