Beat them in sports other than men's basketball on a consistent basis and they will shut up. Easy.

We do. UK did quite well in the head-to-head series this year. The big problems are football and baseball. Unfortunately, I don't see either of those series turning in our favor any time soon.

Louisville is going to have a very good football team this year. Might even be very, very good. Also going to be good at several other sports. Sorry if you don't like it...

And, as I said above, UK will beat UL more often than not in the all-sports playing field. The glaring weak spots are football and baseball.

Gotta disagree here. We beat them 4 years in a row in football and they still talked trash and made fun of us for going to Music City Bowls (ironically, we were beating teams like Clemson and FSU). What is Louisville doing now? Going to Music City Bowls, Gator Bowls, Belk Bowls, Russell Athletic Bowls, Orange Bowls, Sugar Bowls.
Fixed it for ya

I said what is Louisville doing NOW to point out that we've already done that. Do you follow? Probably not. Right NOW you're a Music City Bowl program. Just like were were for several years, when you guys made fun of us, while we were beating you, for 4 years straight. You got a few nice bowls when you were in joke conferences, playing no one, and building up wins. Just a bad system with the BCS. Didn't UCONN make a BCS bowl at one point? UCONN, for gods sake.

We've beat the #1 team and eventual National Champion, beat Clemson and FSU, all happening while we were better than you guys yet you were still laughing at us. That's the point. A poster said we'd shut you up if we beat you, but my point is that when that does happen, you will still run your mouths. Just like in the past. Get it?

...and as bad as we've been the past few years, we've at least knocked off a ranked team recently. When was Louisville's last win vs. a ranked team? 3-4 years ago when Bridgewater was a Sophomore? I would think a powerhouse football program like you guys would have some better recent wins, but who needs those when you guys are just like Alabama.

Please list the recent ranked win that you're talking about? Our last game was a win against a ranked team (A&M), Notre Dame, Florida...

I don't think either A&M or Notre Dame was ranked when you played them, I know Notre Dame wasn't they lost something like their last 5 or 6 games that year. I know Florida was, but that's just proving his point.... it was 2-3 years ago.

The last two years have been transitional for the CARDS. We had to replace an NFL QB and a coaching staff. I would consider them down years. Now in year 3 on CRP2.0, We should start seeing more and better victories. This will be his first year knowing who our QB was going to be since Bridgewater.

RE: Paragraph 2, I noticed this same phenomenon with the Pitino Scandal, Jurich, Petrino scandal, etc. The UL fanbase pretty much follows what their leadership says and does and does not question it. UK certainly has its share of hillbilly fans that will take what they are fed chapter and verse, but there are plenty of us who criticize our coaches or administration. Almost all of you welcomed back Petrino with open arms despite the damage it did to the school's reputation. Almost everyone over there backs Pitino no matter what the man does. Almost everyone over there thinks Jurich does no wrong even though all of this scandal has occurred under his watch. Your group Seems like a bunch of lemmings or else people that know better but choose to ignore facts that make them uncomfortable.

Paragraph 3: It seems that you see the distinction between "playing with them and potentially beating them" vs. being as good a program as they are, but I'm not sure many over there do.

Paragraph 4: Right, but the difference is that everyone on that board acts like they cannot be possibly be bothered by UK and that UK is so far beneath them in football, but yet they post constantly about UK. Doesn't make sense to me (though in fairness, many here look down on UL in many ways but post about them all the time too).

How many "hillbillies" do you really know?

You beat an A&M team that was using their 3rd & 4th string quarterbacks.

Plus, you only beat them by 6 and once again against a 1st time starter.

Congrats, you're a national power in your own mind.

Before you get too full of yourself, you were 4 points away from a losing against a mighty Wake Forest and Boston College.

I was listening to Dari and Mel this morning and they were talking about if Houston goes undefeated and they made the point that if they beat Oklahoma the first week, they will cruise through their remaining games because there is no one the remaining schedule that is an elite opponent.

How can that be when you have the nationally feared dirty birds on the schedule?

And that FSU team was down to its 3rd string because half their team was suspended.

And JOKER's 2010 team lost to NATIONAL CHAMPION Auburn with the great Cam by three. UK with TWO four stars playing in the game.

Didn't Auburn only beat Oregon (I think) by three, if so should we be tied with Oregon for the runnerup to the NC?

LOL

A very good coach IMO, just not a good HC. I contend that no one could have won at UK with the support mitch gave football, Brooks really worked miracles. One big mistake Joker probably made was firing a bunch of very good coaches trying to improve recruiting, but the new coaches still had nothing to sell compared to what the rest of the SEC was doing, and of course UL was cheating like crazy the whole time, just win baby.

I think the main point of pointing out Uofl's record against ranked teams was two fold 1) in 18 years of play you have faced 32 ranked teams which is not even two ranked teams a year and 2) you have not fared that great in those games going 11-21 debunking the myth by a majority of UofL fans that UofL is among the elite of college football.
uavel football is Mid Major at best.. Nobody takes them seriously..really?

I could give a flip what Louisville doea. This is football. They matter one Saturday a year. Worry more about the rest of the SEC and less about a rivalry game that is relevant 3 hours out of an entire year.

How old are you? You clearly deserve the above description. It's fitting for you. You troll UK message boards and you're so clueless about the team you're a fan of, you don't even realize you haven't beat a ranked team in 3.5 years. You don't strike me as an example of maturity or intelligence in any way, at all.
Try 2 1/2, unless 11-1 Florida wasn't ranked in your mind. In the last three seasons we're 5-2 against teams in the SEC...

LOL, you are too easy. Of course they were ranked. You beat Florida in January of 2013. Let's see, we're entering August of 2016 currently... umm, let me do the math here, and I'm no math genius, but if my calculations are correct, that is about 3 years and 7 months since your last victory against a ranked team. Seriously, just how dumb are you?

You got warned by a mod so I get to have my day? What? I get to "have my day" because you keep replying with things that aren't true. If you want to get into an argument on a rival message board, at least know your facts, so you aren't called out for being wrong, over and over.

Unbelievable. You come over here, and you're either too clueless to know things about your own team (or you're flat out lying), you are proven wrong multiple times, yet you can't even admit you're wrong... and best of all, after the fact, you then whine like a baby about it.

The thread was about their many of UL posters that have an obsession about UK
Irony

BTW
There seems to be only one or 2 (wink) of UK posters who have a similar obsession about them

superiority in athletics over UK, one would naturally assume that's we would be irrelevant to them. Similar to UK and say.... EKU.
How many threads are on this site discussing EKU? How many threads can found even discussing UL football?
Their site has FIVE (5) of the first 10 threads discussing UK, simply incredible.
And simple, defines them.
If the "MENSA group" that posts on their site, is any representation of the quality of their educational efforts; the African American studies program from UNC has to dwarf any UL curriculum requirements.
If you are going to attack another fan base for being less then intelligent, make sure you have no skeletons in your own closet.
Just poking at you.

Well playoff or bust. Doesnt matter what its called only matters that they think they are elite.
For me, it is always the BCS/playoffs or just a mild clap for a season that has ended. I certainly enjoy going to the bowl games if they are in a nice location or easy driving distance, but they mean very little unless they are a big time game or against a big time opponent.
I do not get much thrill of going to say New York for a bowl game against Mid-Major U.
