With all sincerity I want to congratulate you on getting over the bowl hump. I know it's been a long and painful process, but you did it.

Getting good, or getting great is not an event, it's a process that takes time and many steps. You accomplished one of those steps yesterday.

I would say good luck next week, but let's keep it real....... I'm a UofL fan always and want to beat you every time.

However, I want to beat a GOOD UK team everytime, and you took a step forward last night. So lets skip next week, and I'll sincerely say good luck in your bowl game.

I have always been of the opinion that hidden in the intensity of the rivalry between UK and UofL is the underlying positive benefit that it has had to both programs. The competition of these two to be the best team in the state has driven the emphasis on football in the bluegrass, and you see it in the quality of the players, facilities and how the general interest in football has grown over the last 3 decades. The OP seems to hint at that.
