Carter's game against Baylor (while playing on that ankle that needed surgery) was equal to Art's stat line and we all know that Art's yards against Wisky were mostly the result of Blackshear's YAC not any throwing downfield.

Sitkowski - 20/39 261 yds 1 TD 0 INTs 116.0 QB Rating
Carter - 21/37 247 yds 2 TDs 2 INTs 119.9 QB Rating

So please stop with the bold face lies because you've gone all in on Art and don't know how to extricate yourself from the mess you've created. We know you're ego can't accept being wrong but Art needs way more time to become a B1G QB and throwing him out there this year is a recipe for disaster.

How is 2 TDs and 2 ints equivalent to 1 TD and 0 ints? Carter is not a downfield passer either, and will be playing in this system for the first time.

Cárter isn’t good enough to start at Texas Tech, which is why he transferred here.

Furthermore, Baylor had the #85 total defense LY while Wisconsin’s defense was ranked #29. So Arturs performance was more impressive.

It's okay to admit you're wrong and start over on Art. Nothing about Art says that he's ready to take the next step forward yet and RU can't afford another debacle like last season.

Taking what a RB did with YAC and saying it made the QB's performance impressive is more of your twisting facts so you don't have to admit you're wrong again.

Art is the equivalent of Savon Huggins. Forced in as a true freshman when clearly not ready to play. Art is clearly not ready to play even this year based on the spring game.

You are the only one that wants this debacle for another season to satisfy your narcissistic need for attention and to claim you told everyone so. If you want the kid to succeed you'd agree that he needs more time to develop and not be rushed out there for the sake of it. Only an idiot would rush the kid out there like this again.

Career .......

Junior Year at Old Bridge:
5 TDs, 10 INTs, 50.2% completion rate, 1190 yards, 10 games

Senior Year at IMG:
2 TDs, 4 INTs, 57.0% completion rate, 370 yards, 7 games

Freshman Year RUTGERS:
4 TDs, 18 INTs, 49.1% completion rate, 1158 yards, 11 games
That's less than 100 yds passing per game for a career, including in high school when you are supposed to be absolutely dominating as a Div 1 prospect. Wow, just wow!

Artur threw for over 200 yards, 2 TDS and 1 int in the spring game, so that isn’t evidence that he shouldn’t start.

What’s idiotic is your analogy between Art and Savon Huggins. Savon had a decent line to
Run behind, but just wasn’t good enough. Jawan Jamison, who was in the same class as Savon, ran for 897 yards in 2011, for a 3.9 ypc average and broke the 1000 yard rushing plateau in 2012 and had a 4.2 ypc average.

Artur is good enough, but was thrown into the fire behind a line that couldn’t block, and receivers who couldn’t catch and predictably sucked, as he was learning on the job. Given the chance, he will learn from last years experience and continue to get better.

McClane Carter is damaged goods, whose status is up in the air. He missed spring practice, hasn’t played since last December, yet you expect him to come in and start. Meantime, Artur has been working all this time to get better in McNultys system. That’s going to be tough for Carter to overcome.

Totally wrong as usual - after being the worst QB in the country last year and having shown zero signs of improvement over the spring, the coaches immediately scoured the country to find a grad transfer to replace him and save the season. Keep pushing that agenda though - nobody believes you lol

You don’t speak for everybody, and besides to solely depend on a qb who is damaged goods makes zero sense.

And now we're quoting Spring Game stats as evidence of his superior ability. Quick, dust off the 7x7 stats because those are just as meaningful!

He's the king of subterfuge. Throw out meaningless stats and other details to cloud the big picture.

Your GIF with the INT is the perfect counter. You'd expect that from a HS QB not the supposed "Heisman caliber" starter against a soft no pressure defense in a spring game.

You don’t speak for everybody either but that’s what you try to do. Relying on Art makes even less sense. On a side note, we all look forward to your future “we’ll beat Michigan” threads again this year.

Relying on Artur makes sense, because he’ll be here another two years, whereas Carters career is over in 5 months, and he’s hardly played Div I football. Artur gives us a chance to beat Michigan as long as he continues to get better.

Yeah don't look like it there. No pressure, staring right at receiver and 2 defenders and throws it to LB just standing in same area the whole time.

It's so bad that I just realized that Art threw it to where the receiver originally turned and never followed his movement to get space from the defender covering him. This is worse than last year.

Your spinning so bad your arguments don’t even make sense. You’ve gone off the deep end lol:

1) because a player will be here in two years it makes him a starter?
2) because a player’s career is over in 5 months he shouldn’t be a starter
3) carter has more starting experience than Art
4) Art can beat Michigan because he will improve - even though you say it’s all on the receivers and ok and he has shown zero improvement

Do you ever hear yourself?

I think I spoke about this earlier in this thread, but I don't see this as a terrible interception. Needs a little more loft to get over the LB, who does make a nice play to go up and get the ball.

So I see it as more an inaccurate throw then a poor decision, or poor read of the defense.

Was he throwing to the underneath receiver or the receiver running behind the LB?

In a vacuum, it's not an issue. But given that he threw 18 INT's last year, and got pulled so he wouldn't break the single season INT record, it's a huge concern.

I respectfully disagree. Maybe I am not seeing it correctly.
1. Staring down the receiver. Linebacker seemed to read it perfectly.
2. Did not even head fake to another receiver.
3. Terrible touch on the ball.

Not an expert on QB mechanics, but don't recall a QB who dances around as much as Art in the pocket with feet and lower legs.

This is spot on. The WR is crossing in back of the LB. good throw goes for a big gain.

This is incorrect, because the intended receiver is crossing in back of the linebacker. Jennings simply made a terrific play and it was a bad throw on Artur’s part.

2) no, he shouldn’t be the starter because he isn’t that good, and I don’t see anything in his record that indicates to me that he will be a successful big ten quarterback
3). Wrong once again. Carter does not have more starting Div IA experience than Artur
4). Artur is throwing the ball much better these days, if you follow social media

James Kratch does a great job presenting the case for Artur to start:

QUARTERBACKS: Artur Sitkowski remains the favorite to start against UMass

Could graduate transfer McLane Carter beat out Sitkowski? Definitely. Do I understand why some Rutgers fans want that to happen? Obviously. But I still think the job is Sitkowski’s to lose, and he remains my pick with camp two weeks away. Last season was very bad, and the spring was not as emphatic an affirmation that major strides have been made as Rutgers would have liked. But I’m told Sitkowski has had a strong summer of training and cleaned up a lot of mechanical issues that he struggled with last year, and the game has slowed down for him. Plus Carter has not done enough in his previous college stops to convince me he is definitely better than Sitkowski. We’re still talking about a major career rep disparity between the two despite Carter’s age, too.

Rutgers needed to land a guy like Carter in order to have two quarterbacks it felt comfortable playing meaningful snaps in a regular season game. Ash and staff should not want to play true freshman Cole Snyder much this fall if they don’t have to and Johnny Langan’s eligibility for this season remains unknown. The bet here remains on Sitkowski as the starter and Carter as the backup, with Ash giving Sitkowski a shorter leash than a year ago. That could change once camp begins, but at this point it remains a Sitkowski lean.

Then look again. There is a receiver (Daevon Robinson?) breaking WIDE OPEN on the post. One of Sitkowski's issues is that he has no touch. It is a TD pass had he been able to elevate the pass over Jennings.

Jumping barely a foot off the ground isn't a terrific play. If his intended target was the WR further downfield then he completely ignores the LB sitting in the zone and he was directly in front of Art before the underneath receiver came into the area.

This is more of the same crap that Art did all of last year and why getting a grad transfer QB over an OL became the top priority.

It was a bad throw and mistake. He will make more bad throws and mistakes, but hopefully not too many.

James Kratches quote explains why getting a grad transfer was a priority:

- need two viable qbs
- shouldn’t play a true freshman
- Lang an status unknown

Absolutely! If anybody cares, they should go and rewatch the games last year and they will see - SO MANY WRs who would have gone for TDs but the ball was not even thrown their way.
