Thanks for asking. I have an appt.with a surgeon on Feb. 4th. to discuss the procedure . I do know that it will be some type of reconstruction. From what I do know he will go in from my lower left side with a scope and repair the scar tissue to open up the passage way leading from the kidney to the uretha. That is where the blockage is. While in the kidney he will go ahead a bust up some that have been stationary. I have never heard of this type of surgery and don't know anyone who has but I'm very optimistic about it considering other options. I'm assuming a surgery date will be set. It will be done at Duke. Right now there is no pain but some discomfort and I'm peeing a whole lot. In the day time it's every hour or so and at night I'm up 4 or five times. Sometimes I can't even pee and sometimes it really burns. Somega days my energy level is low and I found out that's normal. Just want to get it over with. Still I need prayers and we'll wishes. This board has given me a ton of support and I treasure that. You all just don't know how wonderful you make me feel. I will keep all posted as I find out the info. OFC

Prayers and well wishes sent! Keep us posted after Feb 4th. I hope everything works out and you can get a full nights sleep without having to get up all the time. I’ve known people who’ve had that issue (pee a lot during the night) and they all say the lack of long uninterrupted sleep was the most frustrating part.

Praying for you everyday, Sky. I don't have as serious a condition as you have, Sky, but I do know a bit about how it feels to get up all during the night to pee, and the 'burning'...it's no fun. Thankfully, mine is just prostate problems and is under control (at the moment). With good doctors, and God's guidance, I pray you'll soon feel good again. Take care friend.

I'm happy you are getting along. I've been thinking of you and what you have shared with me. Dialysis can't be a walk in the park. I'm still a little nervous because like I have stated I don't know anyone who has had this procedure. OFC
