$300 and $190 for what looks like a burnt 7-Eleven pizza and microwaved chicken fingers. Plus the ole mysterious $113 “administrative charge.” LOL

There has to be more to this story. It could be the "NIL fundraising" price for UNLV VIPs or something. I can't imagine that the person who ordered had no idea that the food was this expensive. Otherwise, that's on par with those tea scams that they try to do to tourists in China.

Even then if you find a properly trained cook there isn’t much you can do different to make food worth the outrageous cost of some restaurants with celeb chefs. I really don’t care if my food has gold shavings in it and the other crazy stuff they do lol.

I love haute cuisine and fine dining. And sometimes food is worth that. But a lot of times it’s not. If it’s Grade A Wagyu dry aged then yeah I don’t mind paying high prices. But just because Chef X plates some Mac n cheese don’t call it crème de cheddar and charge me 40 bucks.

I more and more love the fact that I'm a home body when it comes to things like sporting events and concerts.
Even if prices weren't bad, I can't say I have much of a desire to trek out to a stadium and cram myself into small seats, not have the best view based on the seats I'd be paying for, while still paying more for food and beer than I'd pay for at my own home, watching a band play for 3 hours with other opening bands I dont care about.
Lot of people out there throwing their money away on going to these venues. If they think it's worth it, more power to them. But I'm totally fine watching these things from my own coach.

Which one is the better value? The pizza or the tenders? I’ve been sitting here for fifteen minutes trying to figure it out. I think it’s the tenders but could definitely go the other way.
100% agreed. I just went on a cruise and found myself bored. I'm an introvert but usually enjoy 1 to 2 cruises a year. The food and alcohol and entertainment were solid but found myself n the state room watching movies more than I'd care to. I can do that at home and save a ton of money! My 6 year old loves them though so probably can't nix them completely. Maybe do one every 2 years.
I can't tell u the last time I went to a concert or sport event n person or the movies. It's just not worth it to me anymore.
I've met some rich people whose spending habits make me wonder how they still have a penny to their name. These prices are for those people.
Then you have people like Bezos in the 2000s driving a junk Nissan or whatever he had even though he was already a billionaire. People are strange.
I thoroughly enjoy my concerts and music festivals, but I'd rather watch sports at home, with my nice bottle of bourbon that will still be cheaper than drinks at the game, make whatever food I want, can rewind or pause if nature calls, have loved ones to enjoy it with and just the comfort of being home

Yeah, I'm more like Bezos on that....BUT....I would at least have a decent paid off car. Not a McLaren or anything, but a fully trimmed Lexus and then maybe a fun side vehicle (like a convertible or something for nice days).
Travel and food would be my vices if I were rich, but I wouldn't go overboard. I'd fly coach more than likely and wouldn't mind clean public transport when traveling.
The Mega Yachts and 5 Mansions are what's really irritating about the mega rich. Like who the hell needs that crap. I'm all for people making what their worth, but man, we all know some of these dudes have gamed the system, cheated, etc. Not all, but some.
I mean even Bezos (who stared out in a garage) still got 300k from his parents to help start Amazon. lol. Most people don't have that kind of "break". Sure, it still took work and luck, but 300k would solve nearly all my issues at the moment and I could invest the rest.
Ditto. I can't imagine taking a family of 4 to a sporting event unless you're in upper management at a fortune 500 company. Give me a cold one in my yeti and a spot in the recliner and I'm locked in.
Everyone should on at least one cruise. They're usually pretty cheap considering, and can be fun. But yeah, I feel you. There's a reason when explorers during the Age of Navigation got of the boats and didn't want to get back on. lol
There were two concerts I enjoyed taking my mom too when she was disabled. Elton John (dude is a freaking showman and just puts on a fun show) and James Taylor (not near as flashy or exciting, but he's a great singer and it was a fun show). Outside of that, yeah, live events are just such a pain to get in and out of. Traffic, ugh. I can't imagine sitting in traffic for 2 hours AFTER I've spent 5-6 hours to get to a show and watch it.
This crap of high prices will continue as long as there are fools willing to part with their money. I'm going to laugh my butt off should the day come that it all collapses and they cry poor.
190 dollars for chicken tenders is outrageous. I can go to my local gas station and get 5 tenders for 3.50 and they be close in quality to what the 190 dollar ones are

There has to be more to this. For starters, how many pizzas and how many tendies? It leads us to believe that this was just enough food for a couple people. I know It says 1 on the receipt, but those are just keystrokes. Maybe there were 20 people in that suite and the pizza and chicken was bottomless. We don’t know. I don’t make assumptions and Occam’s razor usually wins out.
