If you watch this game as a non-WVU fan, we should have lost. Baylor missed 3 FG's, and that Non-TD at the goal line, should have been a TD, but wasnt. That said, if we remove the TD they scored from DEF pass intereference that should have been a interception. When you account for all the wrong BIG12REF calls, Baylor should have won by 6. Baylor was a well coached team, Dave Aranda will be a good HC for them..

That said, WVU did play far better, but still light years away from being an efficient team. Defense looked great, except on the 4th qtr TD, I knew that play was not going to go well when it was obvious Tony Fields seemed like he didnt know what to do. Offense was again tripping over its own feet. Doege's pocket awareness wasnt good, and between bad passes, dropped passes, penalties, you can see if we clean those things up, we have an opportunity to be decent, if our Def continues to hold opponents to 17 points or less. Hopefully another bye week will help us focus on those details, catch some tennis balls, improve QB/WR timing, and take another leap forward.

Either way, Im just glad we seemed to improve from last week, and thats all one can hope for with such a young team week 3 of year 2 under this great staff! #PATIENCE

Yea they missed 3fgs but they were all really long attempts. Also that bs pass interference call completely flipped the first half. You take away that and our horrible muff punt and we win without ot.

We should have been flagged for the push out of bounds on the QB. I knew (based off of Big12 experience officiating) we were going to get a flag from the official on Baylor’s side of the field, hence the horrid PI call. Rough game to watch but grateful for the win.
QB play must get better.

If he doesn't push him but lays off then Brewer turns up field for 50 yards. He was still in bounds and a bang bang play.

A a whole officiating sucked both sides.

Take out the 4 turnovers and we can if WVU to a 40 point win.

WVU has to find a way to stop all the mistakes, and score more points against better opponents upcoming.

With a week off, Kansas is a very, very important game for us. Yes, we should beat them easily, etc.... However Coach Brown needs a great mental performance from the team. Mental errors cost us one game and almost cost us against Baylor. A great solid performance on all three sides with very little, if any, mental errors would build some confidence and show progress. We need progress and development.

Way too many procedure mistakes. That has to be taken care of quickly. OL is getting better but still doesn't give Doege enough time but the run game is developing. WR's have too many drops and not running crisp routs. Glad to see the TE in the mix. Goege needs to stick to the intermediate passes. Throw one deep just to keep D on their toes, but don't expect a completion. Lots to work on. Glad Kansas is up next.
