CISM World Military Championships

Staff Sergeant Morgan McIntosh of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) had an outstanding performance today at the CSIM World Military Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan!

Morgan, who trains in State College with the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club, won three matches to win the World Military title at 86 kg in men's freestyle. On his way to the finals, Morgan defeated Italy's Aaron Caneva by 12-2 technical fall and Azerbaijan's Farid Jabbarov by 5-1 decision. In the gold medal match, Morgan prevailed with a 5-5 criteria victory over Reza Ebrahim of Iran!

Great win for a great guy. I watched him work out with DT during the open practice at the NLWC golf outing, and he is a terrific training partner. Glad to see him competing while representing our country. World class athlete and human

Great point. He probably replicates Yazdani......shorter and stockier than David and you know he would go out and give his all.
