What do you mean "deemed by the state"? Are you saying that Maxpreps has official status, because I have always thought of them to be just like NCPreps, HighSchoolOT, and CarolinaPreps....just another high school sports site ran by fans. I always put more stock into the other ones since Maxpreps is national and not local enough to actually know the teams.

Yes, I think you are correct. For some reason I was thinking Thomasville had only 2 losses, but you are correct both Reidsville and Thomasville have the same record.

East Rutherford 5-5 in SMAC 2A/3A conference with Crest/Shelby. Needs to be in over other teams with same record in weaker conferences. No doubt!
The NCHSAA has partnered with MaxPreps. As such, high school coaches and ADs input their school's scores and other game information directly at the MaxPreps website. That information is then directly uploaded to the NCHSAA for their use.
I have the last wild card in 2A/2AA going to the winner of a 3 way draw between Draughn, East Rutherford, and RS Central, they will need a draw because the 3 teams are all 1-1 against each other....if it's RS Central making it, then they will be 2AA, if it's JCD or ER they will be 2A, and in a way the entire bracket in 2A/2AA, East and West hinge on this draw, not all 64 teams will change, but a bunch of them will based on the various projections that have been made the last couple of weeks...like if ER or JCD go small, then that pushes Providence Grove big, which would push East Davidson to 2AA West in the spot we had penciled in for RS Ce....if RS Ce wins this draw, they would be 2AA, obviously in West, and could keep East Davidson in East....looks like West Stokes will be in the West after all, though every projection I had made before the last 12 hours had them in the East....both Providence Grove and Wheatmore surprised me last night by winning, and therefore making the playoffs, and maybe pushing both ED & WS to the West, depends on that South Mtn Conf. draw for last wild card spot
NCHSAA has a web site, which has made a lot of improvements in recent years. … Why can't they keep up with all the standings in ALL sports? It's their job. All you would need is one responsible person from each conference to keep it updated. It needs to be a paid position for each conference - not talking a lot of $.
