pretty much. never been a world beater of a conference, but there have been good teams come out of it. off the top of my head carlinville in 16, vandalia has had an all-state quarterback last year and this year, making 3a quarters last year, but 2a south this year. pana has been playing decent football for the last decade or so. however yes, no year-in year-out consistently and historically dominant teams.

hillsboro may lose to roxana but will get wiped by monticello if they advance i think

Monti isnt a given winner if it should face Hillsboro. Pontiac gave Monti all they could handle before surviving 19-12!

Sounds like mission accomplished for Monticello the since they were one of the schools that proposed the expanded playoffs.

Monticello may have their hands full with Olympia but after that, they should be good until SJO. Tolono has improved a lot as the season has progressed so I wouldn't count them out to beat either Spartans or the Sages.
