I don’t expect our kids to look past this but we’ve beat Hayesville handily in the past only to be upset. Don’t see it here but their fight against Swain means you can’t go through the motions.

It’s Cherokees fair week and that’s a big distraction. Schools barely in session and kids are going to be kids. They are at Rosman and that drive is a pregame defense for them. I see a slow start for the Braves but they should get the W

Yes he did and he won't be back this week!! 1guy don't know where you get your info but your spot on!!! This is crazy, we act like we've never had fry bread and chilli, bean bread, fat back and cabbage before!!! This is definitely our big distraction week and could be in for upset, especially with tha tigers bein hungry for win!!
Robbinsville 24 at Hayesville 21
If Hayesville puts up the same fight they gave Swain then it will be a close game. I feel they should have the same strategy they had vs Swain. Play keep away and kick away from Anderson. Call out 22 every play and focus on stopping him every play. Hayesville defense is improving and it will show. More physical than Swain thought they would be.
Cherokee 32 at Rosman 21
I think Cherokee will make a switch at QB and be able to move the ball vs Rosman. If they get the quick passing game going and run the ball with the new Choctaw QB and Evans it can be a handful for Rosman.
Swain 42 at Andrews 14
Swain knows the veer offense better than any team in NC. Andrews will need to show it’s version is somewhat different vs Swain. I don’t think Andrews will be able to match the running game of Swain. I also have no doubt that Andrews coaching staff knows the Maroon Devils better than any other team.

Pick us by 3? How did that work out for you last week? We are not swain we can pass the ball also. Go ahead a focus on anderson like Rosman did.
Yeah I picked Robbinsville by three this week if Hayesville plays as hard as they did vs Swain. The passing game might be the difference for Robbinsville. If they get that going early then the run game may open up. And by the way I picked Robbinsville to win last week 35-14 over Rosman.
Jackets are hyped for the big game against robbinsville even more so after the way we lost to swain. Wont predict a score cause we want the w gooo jacketssss!!!!!

i think this is a more true test for rosman to see where they sit. hopefully cherokees secondary steps up cause rosman throws the ball and they run a lot to the outside.could see a tiger victory here good luck to both teams.

Andrews isn't at 18 any more, think they added a few more when school started back and are in the low 20's now.
Hayesville has 12 sophomores and 1 Freshman on the team! 8 of those sophomores and the freshman have started in one way or another all season. I am excited to see Andrews and Hayesville with such a bright future! Good luck to all SMC teams (unless your playing Hayesville lol)
Swain is junior heavy but top two skill guys are sophomores. Andrews is sophomore heavy and have a very good 8th grade group. Robbinsville junior class very strong, sophomore class pretty good to. Murphy has good amount of seniors but the freshman and sophomore classes are loaded with talent. Hayesville very strong sophomore group. Rosman couple of good juniors but top players are seniors.

Basically what I gather is the conference is going to pretty damn tough in 2020. Andrews and Hayesville should have their best teams in a while. I think Robbinsville and Swain may be better in 2019 than they are in 2020 but should still be stout in 2020. Murphy will be very good in 2020 if kids stick with it, never know though.
Same song, different year..Once again 2018-2020 will be dominated by Murphy Swain and Robbinsville..The fact of the matter is,even if we all had the same athletes, as long as Gentry, Walsh and Blankenship are around,the top 3 teams of the conference are not going to change much.
Robbinsville is averaging more yds passing per game than they have in many many years..Orr is ahead of Mathason and Millsaps state championship teams passing average. Orr is also averaging over 5 yds per carry.. Hooper is averaging 10 yds a carry..I would like to see him get 5 or 6 more touches a game.. And don't forget what Jase Phillips has done. Along with Robbinsvilles special teams and kicker,there is much more to worry about besides Anderson. It almost made it to easy for Walsh Friday night when he realized Rosmans only objective was to stop Anderson.
Swain guys I was really impressed with 25 . Lossiah he is gonna be tough to deal with next two years .
Don’t forget Swain will have 15-16 seniors next season along with Sain and Lossiah and a few other juniors that are very talented. The sophomore group with Growenwold and 15-16 other Sophmores. So Swain will have more skill position talent in several years going back to the last state championship team.
I heard through some Cherokee County contacts that Andrews coach might not make it to the 2020 season. Any rumor mill news?

With everyone talking about all the youth on their rosters looks like we are in for some great football for the next few years. Exciting time in the SMC only drawback is gonna be tough to schedule those very important non-conferences games. Just a thought
i hope the coaches agree with us. We have seen what crowe can do , time to give the new guy a chance. I think cherokee beats swain last week if other qb had started.
I think Hayesville keeps it close for a half. Everybody know you kill Yellow Jackets after dark.
