With that said I'm going to be honest with you, don't think it would've changed the outcome tonight, Murphy run defense was lights out for the most part, consistent penetration and contained the edge well. Now if you are talking Adams and Williams too that's a different story, too many weapons to contain.
Stalcup was very impressive at safety, best looking safety in run support I've seen on JV at Murphy in quite a while.
If they can get those two good 7th grade skill kids to come back out this fall or the fall after that's going to be a good group as varsity upperclassmen.
Biscuit I'm with you that explosive plays arent everything and that the 9th and 10th grade group can win plenty of games and have some deep runs but at the end of the day those explosive players are what separate good teams from great teams, without em you'll be hard pressed to win state championships. And that's ok, not every group that comes through here is going to be state championship caliber.
