Murphy up 28-6 with 6:31 seconds to go in the game. Murphy has just completely dominated. Looks like a 3 way tie.
I think the rest of 1-A can take notice the defending champs are ready to defend their title
Murphy's defense showed up big tonight. What a great game.
Not sure what was so "wow" about it.. talent wise the rest of the SMC was not close. Everybody in the 1AA west is praying Murphy wins the SMC draw, because NOBODY wants to see the 'Dogs showing up at their place in the second round.
Good to see Creelman back. He had a huge game on defense, congratulations on getting back to finish your senior year!
I only have one word to say Mctaggert !! Murphy has a stable full of good backs but every game this kid plays he makes big offensive plays but doesn’t get enough touches. 4 TDS tonight !! Give this young man the ball more. The sleeping giant has woken. Defense played great and that was with 2 starting defensive backs out.
Absolutely, the best team talent wise Murphy ever had (1987) lost at Swain. But the playoff rematch Swain got the brakes beat off them. I'm not saying this team is anywhere near the 1987 team, but I think Swain beating Murphy was the best thing that could've happened to this team, it woke this bunch up, showed them that they couldn't just go thru the motions and sleepwalk to a conference and state crown...hmm talent wise maybe, but at least score wise Swain was more than close
Well thanks Murphy, hopefully this woke up tha sleepin giant in us and just in time!! Well maybe not since we're not swain or Murphy and we're just Cherokee!! When I seen 1 of our main big guys go down I wondered who was gonna step up!! I knew Murphy wasn't gonna just roll over!! I guess you can tell swain posters if unz was to play again you'd beat them by 100!! Murphy is a really good team and was way better then us tonight!!!

Cherokee's defense apparently was horrendous tonight. Murphy's defense had a rough stretch a couple weeks ago. TJ was either uninspired or unprepared tonight, but the defense isn't horrendous. Hot take much? Between sickness going around limiting players in practice, to losing our starting safety in the 2nd quarter and a OLB early in 3rd quarter, we were in a tough spot. We also ended up with our 3rd string QB having to try to run the offense.
And a few weeks ago almost every Murphy fan on here was crying how bad the defense looked against Swain...and then they held Cherokee to 6 points. BC was avg.(ing) 300 yards rushing a game going into the game against TJ, but TJ held BC to 74 yards. TJ played like crap last night, but it was last night.
All i know is what i saw. And Tja didnt look great to me. There defense looked incredibly soft. And I saw #40 from UA run over your camp buddies a time or too. Why UA didnt give #40 the ball more I dunno...that kid is a stud. Whats wrong with your qb? he limped off the field , then paced the sideline limping...they put him back in to run the ball after a few series of sittiing out for 1 play and then he limped even worse off the field. Then he paced the whole sideline 2nd half like a nervous father waiting for his kid to be born. All Im saying is I think any tough physical primarily running team aka mountain team murphy, robbinsville, mitchell, would run all over that defense.
And I told you what TJ did to a physical running team in BC. Limited them to 74 yds on 38 carries. TJ played like crap, and didn't look ready for the Cardinals rushing attack. No excuses. But that wasn't the normal TJ defense. But you can think whatever you want. And stop just skipping right over the fact that Murphy gave up 305 yards rushing to Swain.
Wowerz the twins got ran over. I'll telling you MICS was there championship. Camp is that 1 dude who has excuse after excuse. Sickness, injury, uninspired, unprepared. Man how about y'all just took an lost. Cant handle the pressure of being the best. Lost your starting safety aka the staring QB. You got an alligators mouth with a hummingbird's yea you know the rest.
Nobody is worrying about Murphy. Kills me what you think others are thinking about. The Wow was my opinion. Mind ya business. Im sayin wow because according to most accounts this should've been a game, and it wasn't. Big ups to Murphy for the blow out. Just deflate ya head a lil, and you can notice a compliment, MBD.
If his ankle is hurt you might can run straight lines. But cutting on it will have you outta there. Pumped up on adrenaline might have let him return. For a play, but he can't cut on it. Swelling has set in now, another matchup with Union Academy. Doesn't look good for the crew from Avondale.
The twins didn't get run over. #64 had 2 sacks and 2 TFL. Uninspired and unprepared are not excuses. They are criticisms...the team should have been prepared and inspired. Injury is not an excuse, it is just a fact. And the sickness during practice limiting the installment of the defensive game plan is also not an excuse, just a fact. Those aren't excuses for getting beat and allowing a team to run all over you, just factors into why it happened. MICS isreally who likes to make excuses.
