I think the last Robbinsville beat Murphy was 2016 and I know Swain beat them last year, I’m curious to find out the last time the other teams in the conference beat the dogs ? I would say it’s been a few years for some.

Murphy went undefeated in the SMC in 2016, it was 2015 that Robbinsville beat Murphy bigoakbuddy. I'll try to do this without looking it up but I think I can get all of them: Andrews 1981, Rosman 2000, Hayesville 2006, Cherokee 2007
A little background on those losses...
1981 will probably forever be remembered as the worst team Murphy has ever fielded. 'Dogs didn't win a game that year and it was the beginning of the end for Myers as coach at Murphy. I cant say much about the Andrews team that beat them because it was before my time, maybe Wildcat10fan can speak on it.
In 2000 Murphy had a very talented team, they started the year 8-0 but finished the year on a 4 game losing streak as the 'Dogs dealt with major injury issues during that stretch and couldn't overcome it. That was a pretty solid Rosman team and they were the only one of the four teams to beat Murphy before the injuries were at a critical level.
2006 was a bad team by Murphy standards. Murphy had the least amount of seniors they've probably ever had that year (4) and coupled with Hayesville having a pretty talented team with Shively at QB and Mosteller and Cox at WR it all added up to a loss in a close game.
2007 was another not very good Murphy team, they were better than the 2006 team though. Cherokee had a super talented team that year with Wood, Crowe, Arkansas, Sanooke, etc. they would win the conference title and should have won state.

. Thanks for the info, spot on as usual. Congratulations to Coach Gentry on his 400th win, got to give credit where it’s due. Let me try to stump you this a m. He got 400 against Swain. Who was # 100, 200 & 300 against ? Bored and too much coffee!
#300 was against Cherokee in 2010 because I remember that game and the talk about #300. I vaguely remember some conversation about Coach getting his #200th win in the late 90's, I wanna say '98 maybe but I couldn't give you a date or an opponent. #100 I wouldnt have any idea, I would guess it was sometime in the late '80s.

I was bout to say it's been a long time for us!! I've never been on a team that beat Murphy and that's from youth league up!! We beat everyone else and was up on tha dogs by 14 or 21 down there in 03 but come out at tha half and ran that fumble play 3 times in a row, tha dogs capitalized on everyone of em to!! Haha!! That sucked!!
What Gentry has done is crazy .. 400 wins is 40 years of 10 win seasons . Just that avg is unreal
