Here in Pilot Mtn / Pinnacle we have over a foot of snow , it’s about 12:45 and it’s gonna be snowing thru the night into the morning. This has to be a HUGE DISADVANTAGE for the Cards and all the western teams in general. I know that the Surry county school system will not see a day of school this week. I can’t imagine the cards seeing a days pratice outside. Will the NCHSAA allow the Western teams the same favor that was shown to the eastern teams when hurricane Florence hit the area. I would think we see the games postponed for a week, what’s everyone else’s opinion and what are the snow totals in your areas?

It snowed about 3.5 inches here in Tarboro. I’m pretty positive Edgecombe County schools will be closed tomorrow.

While East Surry will have a big disadvantage due to the snow, this pales in comparison to the destruction that occurred in Eastern North Carolina. People died from the hurricane. Others saw no power for a long time. Homes were destroyed. The NCHSAA did the right thing by extended the season one week as a result.

This snow can obviously be a nuisance, but it's not a life changing event like what occurred in areas within Eastern NC. I don't see the NCHSAA extending the season for a week. I don't think this is a catastrophic event.

Many in Pamlico lost their homes. The Coach’s home was flooded. Instead of practice a few days, the team helped in the community. Everyone will be fine and games will go on as planned.

Gentry didn't allow it to snow down there. You'll see snow when he retires. I'm sure the snow will stick around in piles on the side of the roads, but it'll be clear by the time Thursday or Friday rolls around. When is Murphy planning on heading down?
