Last visit I was in the Domain Whole Foods drinking wine and eating pizza at midnight...Austin is one of the best places in the country to live.

BTW - we are targeted to get 8-12 here in Shelby County, KY...according to the NWS.

I would love 70 degrees right about now - supposed to be 10 below or worse here on Friday morning...plus wind chill
I hear ya. Returned from another beer run to Whole Foods about an hour ago. Lots going on in ATX all the time. Our local craft beer scene is truly remarkable. The associated climate just screams innovation. Tech scene rocks, too. I've lived here for 17 years, but visit KY frequently, sometimes 2x-4x annually. We saw a high of 70F earlier today, overcast and very windy. Another cold front is on the way, although temps should remain above freezing.

From what I heard and read, Middlesboro area saw -10 degrees last night.
. My daughter has cabin fever something awful. I really need to call the renters at my mom's house and make sure all is well.

Y'all please stay warm and safe.

Snow and sleet in Somerset. Have generator, heater and food ready. Hope it plays out colder and just get snow.

Dodged one this time. No ice in Somerset. Maybe inch of snow last night. Switched over to mainly sleet and rain.

Gonna be a disaster if the rain doesn't stop soon. Already saw multiple reports of roofs collapsing.

I'm about ready to tell all the teachers I know to touch their tender selves. Tired of reading their bitching and wondering on social media about whether or not they'll have to make these days up. News flash you silly hens - the people whose taxes pay your salaries had to go to work last week. If someone decides that you actually have to make up the days that you missed, don't complain, just go to work like the rest of us.
