New poll out today has Trump 42% Rubio 22% in Florida(conducted by SurveyUSA). Looks like that Monmouth poll was just meant for cable news discussion.
I'm sure they want to do that but my assumption is Cruz will finish a strong second . Will the GOP go all in on Cruz?
Will Cruz see the writing and cut a deal with trump and be his VP?

If the convention is brokered, Trump is out. They'll either combine 2 candidates to form a ticket that has a delegate count that's close (Cruz-Rubio or something) or just pick someone (not Cruz). They could also go rogue and pick someone not even in the race, Romney for example. I think the second route would probably be extremely unpopular.
I don't see it happening. I wish it would. It's disturbing to me to see some in the GOP, like Sessions and Christie, throw in with trump. There are some things more important than party....like country. Trump is a loose cannon who has no business being near the nuclear football. He is ignorant of the most basic issues in foreign policy. He says **** off the cuff and then backtracks (torture). He is not good for the country and would not only be an embarrassment, but could put our security at risk. People are nuts. The people who compare this Trump phenomenon to nazi germany and Hitler are spot on.

I fully agree on Christie. I used to have respect for him before bridgegate and then he lost my respect after that. And now him supporting Trump not only shows he is a bully that is scum from bridgegate, he is no values or cares about the country with this endorsement.
In this day and age of instant access to information, a brokered convention which defies the majority of the GOP voters' wishes would be a complete disaster for the GOP. I think the smart thing for them to do (as a party) is to suck it up, go with Trump and lose. But, then again, I'm sure there are those in the GOP who are looking out more for country than party and don't want to give Trump even the chance to win.
Trump needs 853 delegates out of 1585 remaining (53.8%). He currently has 384 out of 912 (42.1%). Some remaining states are "take all" states but with those numbers, I don't see any of the GOP candidates getting to 1237, especially if Rubio and Kasich stay in a couple more weeks. It will be a brokered convention.

In some ways I think President Cruz would be worse than President Trump. Cruz is an ideologue, and most effective leaders are pragmatic. I don't see that trait in Cruz.
I'll add that a comparison of Trump to Hitler is neither correct nor good for the political discourse.
The audacity to make the claim of party before country in this thread by locksteppers of the left is hilarious. I guess if there is anyone that could identify it, it would be them, especially you know, as they already voted for someone soon to be indicted.

Bloomberg would have killed Hillary's chances. He wouldn't have impacted the right. The soda pop mandate (symbolic) and gun control position would never pass muster with anyone on the right and even most moderates are not fans.

He's not one for compromise. He is one of the hard right that drug the party hard right. Most moderates and fiscal conservatives like myself aren't a big fan of his religious positioning. We disagree very much with the evangelical base but put social issues behind that of fiscal and defense. In the Primary he isn't in my top 3 of those remaining. In the general, I would vote for him before I voted for either on the left. Hell, I would campaign for him before I voted for either on the left.
Mexico's President did yesterday. Trump, like Hitler, is trumping his chest at his neighbors who are allies. Trump, like Hitler, is using some's economic angst to fan the flames of nationalism and pointing fingers at those ethnically different people who are to blame. The comparison is striking on multiple levels.

Cherry picking data after the fact to fit a presumption. You are presuming they were equal because of the classification but they are not the same in their effect. She compromise the country's secrets. He did not.
If she did something ILLEGAL (against the law), she should be disqualified. It is really very simple folks.
