So, did Shadeur fall because he's just not that great of a prospect or because of the circus that Deion will likely bring? Or both?

Raiders passing on him with back to back picks will most likely push him beyond round 3. Can’t say I feel sorry for him. Don’t mind confidence but a cocky *** douche is another thing.

I mean even LaVar Ball didn’t seem to hurt his kids’ NBA draft stock. Deion and his son must be on another level…

Somebody will take a flier on him tomorrow I'm sure. It was hilarious watching that creep Mel Kiper have a near nervous breakdown all through the 2nd and 3rd round. His career as a draft guru is taking an irreversible hit here and he knows it. Pretty much the entire NFL pissing on his reputation.

Combination of the two, but the leading cause is his attitude and sense of entitlement and lack of any history of overcoming adversity.

I also believe that retiring his jersey after accomplishing basically nothing at Colorado was a final straw. That was not only on Deion, his son should have said No. Maybe also that ridiculous Crib they set up for him to broadcast from played a part of teams final decisions, literally on draft day.

One last thing. I am sick and tired of every other comment on Facebook on this subject is crying Racism, when the first player selected was another Black QB. This is all on the sanders family. Humble Yourself, Sanders family.

Live by the media, die by the media.

I’ve learned over the years that if the media can’t STHU about you, people grow resentful.

Wasn't a word of racism mentioned when Will Levis fell in the draft. Just saying.

To say he "slid" is just inaccurate. Either teams wanted him or they didn't. It's clear they didn't. At all.

Every
Single
Year

Pundits and analysts are wrong more than they are right on over half of their projections. Just had a WR that "wasn't supposed to go til the 7th round or undrafted" picked in the 4th round. Lineman from William & Mary drafted earlier.

It's all for talking points. No substance. Entertainment value only- Sanders delivers. Hype and history. More people watching this draft because of the Shadrama

No talking head crying about Ewers tho

Talk about someone that made a mistake. Im sure that 8 mil offer from the big 10 was just smoke, but he for sure could've pulled no less than 1.5. Now he will be fighting for his life to make the dolphins.

You could tell by the reaction on camera of his entire family, no one there ever conceived this result.

Just saw too that apparently prime was acting as their agents. Oof. Im sure that definitely didn't help because they had no one to help them even get ready for the process.

That isn't like an average person helping them prep for the process having no background in it. There are a lot of people in and around the Sanders family, past players, GMs, Agents, Deion has been around the block in a lot of different circles.

He had background on it 30 years ago. Plus he was rumored for the cowboys job just recently. If s team is signing up for all that circus, the player better be elite and neither kid is.

I agree he probably didn't do them any favors perception wise. I think Hunter is elite though. He's still around the business, from his playing days and from the commercials he is doing, also the agents and talent evaluators associated with being HC at Colorado.

He’s a bad QB

No sense of awareness on the field

His 7 stop drop is actually 10

Can’t drive the ball on an out

Couldn’t lead offense in a 4 minute drive on Showcase Day. Time expired on him

Not athletic

And bad foot work

No sense of urgency on field

Combination of everything his dad certainly did not help going on numerous shows saying they were in charge and there would be certain teams. He would definitely not play for. Also, the kid took way too many sacks trying to save his completion percentage. I just don’t think he was that great of a prospect more hype than anything.

Haven’t y’all heard? The whole NFL is racist. That’s why he slid so far. The teams don’t like black players playing in the league. I mean just look at how it’s a league dominated by white guys just like the nba.
yeah other than it’s the go to for someone to claim race injustice don’t know how to yell racism when 55 percent of the league is African American when that is 11-12 percent of the population. I guess if the argument is qb is treated differently because it’s 20% instead of 55 I mean I would say that is a position that doesn’t necessarily require the same level of athleticism, but then that would be racist toward non African Americans. So done with the racial thing from everyone. Just be a good player.

That stigma is gone now as well. There used to be a bias against black quarterbacks, that is no longer a true statement. The percentage of black starting quarterbacks is now closer to 50%.

Both. Mock drafts had him high only because teams tend to overvalue QBs, if there is a need, or reach for one earlier than they should be drafted. Most pundits thought both Ward and Sanders were not better than the first 5 taken last year. However, most draft boards had Sanders an early second round talent. So, throw in the circus, sense of entitlement, if true, and it leads to a 2 round fall lower than his draft value.
He is undersized, not a speedster, athletic enough, not a strong arm, holds the ball too long, but is accurate.

There is a difference between mock drafts and team needs and how players are rated. QBs always go higher and coaches get fired. Bortles, Wilson, Manziel, etc.

Yep. Jones, Fields, Cutler, ..... The truth is no one knows whether a player is gonna be great or a bust. A playoff winner or big game loser. It's all hype until they apply themselves and get their feet wet or thrown into the fire.

The pre-draft is just about getting people to watch and absorb content and in spite of people being so wrong about players the pre-draft bluster continues to gain viewers. Tom Brady and Randall Cobb were both under-rated at different times in their careers and made EVERYONE that overlooked them regret doing so. There's a lot to be said for someone getting a chip on their shoulder and a fire in their belly to prove people wrong.

Could be the best thing for Sanders, or it could just be that he proves the doubters right. Might be interesting to watch
