3 plus months for a lot of these schools to hire a new high school head coach?

Teachers have to get fired which is usually around now and then school board has to accept resignations at the next board meeting which is usually in March. So unless you have retirements, you don't always know what will be open to offer people.
I understand that there's a timing for opening up teaching positions, but man this is taking so long! What about the schools who are about to lose their head coach? They are going to have a limited amount of time to find a new coach if they don't have a successor in the program that is ready to become a head coach.
