Not necessarily related to your post, but I'm going to go ahead and predict the final curtain is about to close for the "Acting" Director, SOON. He's swampy.
Agreed. The FBI should be made up entirely of POTUS yes men. Regardless of who is in charge. Independence schmendence.

What does that post have to do with independence. He only speculates that the current guy is going soon, which is true. He said nothing about his replacement. You're reading something is his post that is not there.

Should Trump be cleared of all these "collusion" charges Coop is it going to be a good day for you and the Left or will it be time to make an appointment with your mental health counselors?

I know you're being sarcastic, but the new director should have overwhelming bipartisan support by Congress. I suspect it will, unless too many of the oppositionists want the appearance of rigging the system. Hopefully, people would see through such a ploy.

I believe the Dems will only support the nomination if the person is a Dem.

You know, Eric Trump hasn't been given a post yet. I bet he'd be a good, independent candidate to lead the FBI.

And the current guy's wife got a huge campaign contribution while he was being asked to permanently store Hillary related FBI documents in the catacombs of D.C. He's a Swamper.

He is compromised, no question. A big friend of Terry McAuliffe. Trump needs to name someone soon. I am beginning to warm to the idea of a federal judge.

The stench of corruption coming from that Obama Justice department would make a landfill smell like a Rose garden by comparison.

He just made his acting directorship very short.

Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe told a Senate panel on Thursday that it was not accurate that the rank-and-file members of the agency had lost faith in former Director James Comey, refuting a justification made by the Trump administration for firing him.

“Director Comey enjoyed broad support within the FBI and still does to this day,” McCabe said. “We are a large organization. We are 36,500 people across this country, across this globe. We have a diversity of opinions about many things. But I can confidently tell you that the majority—the vast majority—of FBI employees enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey.”

Yep. That is contrary to what the rank and file has been saying. Buh-Bye, Swamper.

FBI Agents Furious With Comey Ready to Come Forward: ‘They Are Going to Talk’

Cristina Laila May 11th, 2017 12:07 pm 68 Comments

Comey’s firing will start the healing process for the entire bureau as many agents are furious with his handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal and how he didn’t suggest the Justice Department prosecute her over her mishandling of classified information.

These FBI agents are ready to talk now that Comey has been fired!

Via The Daily Caller with the exclusive scoop:

“This is a textbook case where a grand jury should have convened but was not. That is appalling,” an FBI special agent who has worked public corruption and criminal cases said of the decision. “We talk about it in the office and don’t know how Comey can keep going.”

The agent was also surprised that the bureau did not bother to search Clinton’s house during the investigation.

“We didn’t search their house. We always search the house. The search should not just have been for private electronics, which contained classified material, but even for printouts of such material,” he said.

“There should have been a complete search of their residence,” the agent pointed out. “That the FBI did not seize devices is unbelievable. The FBI even seizes devices that have been set on fire.”

Another special agent for the bureau that worked counter-terrorism and criminal cases said he is offended by Comey’s saying: “we” and “I’ve been an investigator.”

“The idea that [the Clinton/e-mail case] didn’t go to a grand jury is ridiculous.”

According to Washington D.C. attorney Joe DiGenova, more FBI agents will be talking about the problems at bureau and specifically the handling of the Clinton case by Comey when Congress comes back into session and decides to force them to testify by subpoena.

“People are starting to talk. They’re calling their former friends outside the bureau asking for help. We were asked to day to provide legal representation to people inside the bureau and agreed to do so and to former agents who want to come forward and talk. Comey thought this was going to go away.”

“The most important thing of all is that the agents have decided that they are going to talk.”

Comey is arguably the most corrupt FBI Director to ever serve. He brought shame to the bureau and the men and women who serve with integrity should come forward to tell their side of the story. Grab some popcorn because this is going to be a wild ride as more people expose his web of deceit!

I and I know for a fact high ranking agents within the FBI retired early because of Comey.

Really, the DailyCaller? Why not post something from the Weekly World News, or at least the National Enquirer? [eyeroll]

LOL. The Daily Caller, for the most part, hates Trump. They were full of NEVERTRUMPers. And they are more reliable than the main stream media. Have you seen the number of blatant lies coming out of the NY Times or Wash Post recently?

Im guessing somewhere in the FBI they can find a director without a political agenda.

This is the kind of guy Durbin is comparing U.S. soldiers to Pol Pot and Nazi's:

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., is coming under heavy fire after saying American treatment of terror detainees at the Guantanamo Naval Base is comparable to torture at the hands of Nazis, Soviet gulags and even Cambodian mass murderer Pol Pot.

Durbin’s remarks came last night on the Senate floor, as he diverted from comments on the Energy Bill to discuss allegations of prisoner abuse at the U.S. facility in Cuba. Quoting an FBI agent who was at Guantanamo, Durbin said:

On one occasion, the air conditioning had been turned down so far and the temperature was so cold in the room, that the barefooted detainee was shaking with cold. … On another occasion, the [air conditioner] had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees. The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his hair out throughout the night. On another occasion, not only was the temperature unbearably hot, but extremely loud rap music was being played in the room, and had been since the day before, with the detainee chained hand and foot in the fetal position on the tile floor.

If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have happened by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime – Pol Pot or others – that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.

Durbin’s comments have ignited a firestorm of reaction on the Internet and talk radio.

“I think this is one of the grossest and sickest statements to be made yet,” writes blogger Art Green. “This is beyond hyperbole and rhetoric. I really do not have to explain how brutal and murderous the three organizations Durbin compared our soldiers to.”

“It really shows his motives and how much affection he has for our troops,” he continued. “Whenever I hear Durbin say that he ‘supports the troops,’ I know it will be a bald face lie. How could you support someone who you think are no better than genocidal maniacs?”
