They were down 20 points twice in the UofL game and Louisville missed 7 straight FTs in the last minute or they would have won by double digits. How do you figure they outplayed Louisville?

As much as I want Mark Pope to succeed and knowing his love for the program, he isn't the man for this job.
What record? The net rankings have been around like 5 years. He broke zero records last year. There was nothing special about last season. It was a struggle to get to the tournament. Folks were hoping he assembled a good team but he couldn’t land any of his 1a or 1b targets. He went after JQ to have a “superstar” on the roster. Some of our players also appear to be quitting. No the situation here at UK basketball is dire. You can’t tell me to ignore what I see. And no no record against top 15 teams. That’s some made up stuff to justify another year of this trash.
Yeah he need to be run out like Bcg. He may have played at Kentucky for a season but that doesn’t give him a blank check. The dude has nothing to point to as an example of a great coach it sucks it’s like this with a former player but that’s Barney’s doing. And mark needs to just walk away at the end of the season. And we need to put the press on for Oates. Anyone saying we can’t land a top caliber coach is lying. Coaches know the value of certain programs. Oates wins multiple titles at UK. It’s a sin he wasn’t pursued and I mean hard. This may be Barney’s worse hire because we needed a home run.
I think at least 80% of the fans agree with this take.
And the sad part is, the people who rip the kids, coach and program nonstop talking about they suck, they are NIT, fire the coach, gave the gall to call people who are actually still supporting the team trolls. You can't make it up

When I'm giving the money I bust my *** for to this program, hell ta da yeah I'm going to RIP these "kids" and the coaches, and the athletic director. Those "kids" have more money in their bank account than most of us will ever see in our lifetime. I'm sure they are broken up about folks telling the truth and saying they suck. At least they have 22 million they can cry on. Would be great for team building
Listen I support Pope and wouldn’t hold it against him if it doesn’t work. But he’s made some big mistakes in year 2. I don’t know how many are self inflicted or how many are a department / contract issue, but it is what it is. You can’t sit back and think coach first which is what you’re doing. It’s about this program and he’s not performing right now. This is a blue blood this isn’t Louisville. It’s not western. Dominance is expected. I’m sorry you’re more into a coach than the program but that’s not how it works here. I’d imagine you wanted to retain Calipari also. Think of the program not the coach and you’ll figure it out.
Why are you here? Seriously. You do understand this is a message board, right? So far, we do suck ***. “Beat every opponent by 30”? Were you in a coma during the Louisville, Michigan St., UNC games?
Those are the only 3 teams we’ve played that has a pulse, and, we’re 0-3, and have looked atrocious in all 3 games.
Wake up. These dudes are being paid a lot of money. So is Pope. So far, they haven’t earned the money. They deserve MORE criticism than they’ve gotten on here.

Show me one post, just one, stating if we don’t blow every opponent out we suck. If it is “all we hear,” should be no problem. Hell, you should be able to provide numerous examples.
The vast majority of posts I have seen state that while Pope had the love of the fanbase, he is likely not the right hire at the right time. He probably needed another 5-10 years under his belt with a school a bit bigger and more prevalent than BYU.
The real juvenile posts are ones like the one you created, attacking others using made up facts to do so. Your attack is likely just a deflection of something like hormonal imbalance from your monthly menstrual cycle.
Evidence? What sort of responses did you expect when you troll the entire board. I will be the first to admit that we have fans that are unreasonable and crazy. Every fan base does. They are always the loudest.
What is crap is the statement about needing to demolish every opponent and fans attacking Pope. Pope had far more support than he likely deserves. What has he done as a coach to earn our support and trust? What has he accomplished? Most posts I see are ones wishing him the absolute best while also voicing concern over his lack of experience, winning, and overall success at the helm.

On game day I pick a game from the past and watch that instead. Seeing my team win gives me joy not the stuff being played now
Aahh Never left. But each case is different. Mark really would be ideal if he can work it. We’ve got a “good ole boy” network that’s constantly holding us back. “We’re not going to break rules”.
Thise guys are going to kill us if we don’t get some guard in here to fight back for the program. Always good to have former players who are competitors in positions of power, not academic suits that are more interested in being landlords.
But if Mark can’t do it, then he can’t do it. Definitely won’t sit here and wish for something that cannot happen. I’m gonna hold on because of how early it is, and how bad I think he’s needed. But I’ll agree with you, it’s not looking good. I’m sure if this continues I’ll be in full force soon.
